This should be the last frost of the year. May 15th is considered "frost free day".
I wouldn't bet on that continuing to be true. 🙁

We now have nearly 414 PPM of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (up from about 315 PPM in 1960.) What used to be normal even a couple of decades ago isn't normal any more.

Here in the vicinity of Vancouver, we're experiencing temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius temperatures (86 Fahrenheit), because Arctic warming has destabilized the path of the jet stream, which now wobbles up and down erratically in latitude, bringing wildly variable temperatures with it. At the moment, the jet stream is far north of where it should normally be, so equatorial heat has crept up to Vancouver's latitude.

The past three nights we had frost and I had to cover the tomato and pepper plants.

This morning wasn't quite cold enough to frost, about 39F here, (I'm in Unicoi) but tonight 34/36 is forcast with frost warning once again. So once again I have to assemble a "tent". But this should be the last of it, if you believe the forcast. 🙄

If you want a stressful job with a bad accuracy percentage based on guesstimate, be a meteorologist in East Tenn. Hahaha😀

Ok I'm I'm ready.🙄 This is supposed to be the last night of frost. But around here, it's a daily forcast. One can hope, but ultimately you take what mother nature gives you.😛

Last May, it was dry and in the 90's. Everything just burned up, so I guess I can't complain. But I'll believe the forcast for a warm up when and if there is one.😀

I prefer to use the Indian weather stone.

It is outside next to the door. If I look at and it is wet, I know it is raining. If it is covered with frost in the morning, I know we have frost, it it is covered with snow, I expect snow.

CBS, I see your flag is right side up. I have seen it flown upside down many a time.

Snow? You have ladies in skimpy shorts offering beer - I can hardly wait to see your summertime!

Not much difference really. Not every year we get what most foreigners call "bathing temperatures" in the lakes/ocean etc, alot of us still do it anyway.
Personally: If the weather is nice I cross the line at 14c, and regardless of weather if there is a sauna or big bonfire available I still cross the line at 14c only the other way.
