Time to ban all air travel and bring back travel by ships. Going through history books you'll find stories of ships where everything seemed in order yet all persons on board had deceased.
There is also the influence of the "me" syndrome: "I've heard rumours they going to quarantine this area, let's get out before that hapens".
Here in New Zealand the husband of the wife who brought it back from Italy happily went to a concert while they were worried if she had it.

@DPH: I have a medical background and am finding that the vaccination push has gone too far. There are some instances where vaccination is warranted but by far not all. The side effects of vacination are not talked about and at times create more problems than that the illness itself causes. Big pharma pushing vaccination, brainwashing the doctors with their "studies" and drumming up business in order to make some more bucks.
Enough said, I won't go into further details, nor respond further on this subject.

Could we stay on what to do instead of what we didn't please ? So medical sided discussion instead profilatix (I don't say elastic...get off the Huggies please)

Measles, mumps, rubella, smallpox, whooping cough, diptheria, polio etc. I'd say a huge number of instances.
Circumstances where the countless lives saved/ improved warrant widespread vaccinations. Time perhaps for the epidemiologists and other qualified experts here to speak to the theory of “herd immunity”, I believe the colloquial term is?
So what is your guys thoughts on whether this came from a biological lab or just naturally occurring.
I think your question is fair to ask because it emerged in the only city in China that happened to have a BSL-4 lab and studied coronaviruses. However, there are some good papers that were published that highlight it is unlikely. For one, it doesn't appear to be engineered because my understanding is the changes are not what our models would suggest you make if you wanted to make it more infectious.
This is a good read:

@ Greg Erskine, found this today which may help next time you need a prescription for your mum 🙂 https://www.health.gov.au/sites/def...vices-to-support-the-response-to-covid-19.pdf
Tony.
Tony.
Thank you for a sane and very helpful response to my earlier question. It's obvious from the technical article that understanding the origins is important for trying to develop an effective response.
That´s normal.I'm not an anti-vaxer but did notice employees where I worked always became ill with a flu like thing after receiving the 'free' corporate vaccine. Just saying.
Vaccines do not "cure" anything but "teach" your body so it can develop focused self defense.
Getting the illness is one way of getting immunity but of course the harshest one so plan B was to grow virii in a Lab, kill them and make a vaccine.
Was used in the earliest ones and I guess it created quite a few problems.
Then "attenuated virus" ones were developed, not sure how do they do that but these are very popular.
In all cases, I guess there is a fine line between the "trigger level" dose and the "makes you sick/uncomfortable" one and distinctly remember feeling slightly dizzy/buzzy 1 or 2 days after application ... yet waking up fine the next day.
I didn't have any flu-like symptoms from my flu shots, but the injection site was very itchy for a few days. I think it's the newer intradermal types that do that. I'd prefer the bigger needle without the mosquito bite.
Sounds like quack medicine to me.Another point that I heard on television. A local doctor in Oklahoma City has recommended taking a 1 a day multivitamin and a zinc tablet. He is saying that the zinc can keep viruses from replicating. I have not heard any other doctors or specialist mention this.
Even without reaching that level, Doctors often have pet thories, which are not necessarily true.

Sort of. There is a lot of evidence for zinc, especially in-vitro, but I'm pretty sure just like oral zinc tablets aren't going to do it. Of course, if you do have a deficiency it will definitely help. At least this advice isn't really harmful. Homeopaths really get me going.
Here in Argentina we are *flooded* with Chinese, tey took over almost all Supermarkets at any level, lotsb of retail shops, the works.I don't know Daniel. Not even those living abroad want to fly to China. I think that is best put to rest. If there is a factor, I think it is less than many wish to believe.
Metro Vancouver has more Chinese than live in Italy.
Just my 1/2 penny.
My normal "one place to buy everything" is owned by a Chinese Family, which lives in Argentina for some 15 years now, have Argentine kids, the works.
They travel now and then to China but have not for about an year.
So far I buy daily from them , consider them safe (they lost about 30% customers though) , no preconceptions at all but realism.
Now, the day I get into their Supermarket and see a new face, which is explained as: "Cousin Jian who just arrived from China to help in the shop" I will mumble "oh, I forgot my wallet at home" or something and "quarantine" them for 14 days.
That said, COVID got into Argentina not from China but from Italy!!!!
ALL cases came from there 😱

The barely educated people on this planet are allowed to have "pet theories", so why not Doctors?

We can easily dismiss Trucker Joe theory that having 2 double Whiskies in a row can cure the clap "because alcohol kills bugs" or some similar klunky idea but same from a Doctor is dangerous becuse, well, he´s a Doctor!!!! and has the weight of Authority behind him.
Not calling him one by any means, but remember we have been graced by MANY Quack Doctors along History.
I have personally lost friends to Cancer thanks to Homeopathy doctors (and associated Pharmacists of the same persuasion) who convinced them to drop Chemotherapy for Homeophatic injections, or Alternative Medicine, go figure.
I agree, doctors should not have "pet theories" if they can help it. It can really cause harm like you mention.
I know that the vitamin and supplement stuff is mostly BS. There is a little bit of data on zinc in various forms, somewhat mixed, but it's not the craziest thing I've ever heard.

Now, is it going to cure you of COVID-19? Probably not...
