Wait a minute. While NE5534 and TDA1034 are in fact identical, there are a few small differences even to the 5532, and while the LM318 shares a similar architecture, there are some distinct differences. As internally LM318, ne5532/34 and TDA1034 are virtually identical ,
For one thing, the 5534 has a nondegenerated BJT input stage, while the LM318 features degenerated Darlingtons. In the 5534 output stage all the heavy lifting is done by NPN parts (presumable to cut down die size and possibly enable use of a process with less good PNPs as well), while the LM318 features some PNPs as well.
I faintly remember some other "fast" opamps from that era: the CA3100 was one, and curiously it was used in one of Philips top-end amplifiers.
There are others, but for the moment my memories are too dim

indeed...i was just quoting my memory about lm318...i'll spend some tome trying to analyze both in depth when i get the time.Wait a minute.
