Question for Alex: I'm building one of these for a friend in France (DrizztDo), and have 2 sets of boards from him. I may build one for myself for use in the US (115Vac). I noticed that the main power supply board PCBs that I have appear to be laid out for single primary transformers (230V). Was this board redesigned at any point to allow dual primary transformers? What boards comprise a set for this group buy. I may be interested in a set as well, and will put my name on the list once decided. Thanks!

Oneminde - I guess there is one more clarification needed. Which version of PCB of your UGS module we will get eventually? This one with SMD trannies or old 2SK/2SJ version? Or both?
No they are not, they just help to remove commutation noise.
Rout are on the gain stage on my side. For Ine it is different has he use a different solution.
But true that if the value of those R is too low they will have in impact on gain stage Rout and produce distortion.
Just increase the value to 100k, 1K was a schematic typo.

Unfortunately not as I reused the boards here that were designed by Flat for the UGS all inclusive (the full relay version) and this was single primary wiring only.
But those pcb are not difficult to modify, I remember to do exactly what you want to do, with a dual primary transformer by drilling few additional holes on the pcb to accommodate the additional transformer pins.
Or maybe someone can redesign those PCB, they are super simple, single layer, with kicad I guess half day max work but sorry I don’t have time myself to do it.

That part is up to Alex_twn - I just sent the files to him so he gets the chance to inspect and consider his next move. I see no reasons why both can be available or included. The SOT-23 N-chn. version was developed to be more future proof and less costly than the TO-92 style. Jfets conduct in both directions so I saw no issue with that version and the 2SK209 has comparable performance.
The adapter board comes via Ine and I guess its only fair that he has a say about that part. He did mention that he is working on a new version for the output capacitors - so unless he is against sharing the adapter board with the rest of us, things are looking kinda decent.

It has to be a yes for a complete UGS-Muses (all boards) + UGS4 and/or the UGS4x + adapter board.
J109/k389 are just dual J74/K170. I believe the 2SK209GR (Idss; 2.6~6.5 mA) or 2SK209BL (Idss; 6.0~14 mA) is a good substitute. They are roughly €0,35/pcs if one order more than 10 pcs.

Just kindly beware of not wanting to go too fast or you learn afterwards that these modules wont just functionally perform as per yours expectations.
I know what I am talking about because I just designed my own N-JFET only UGS version. It did took me a lot of design trials, hours of spice simulations and 3 PCBs iterations to make mine working properly.
Here it is just how it looks like and a FFT measurement of it (differential measure).

, I won't share the schematics, nor will offer at this point this module to be included in this group-buy – perhaps I will later if no objection from PASS Labs which I feel it is required since I started from an UGS4 schematic similar to the one you've got.
