I was thinking of using the Denovo Audio BA-750 om the SEOS-18:
Denovo Audio BA-750 Compression Driver
Just because it says "you can cross it over as low as 700Hz" doesn't mean that is a good idea.

The Selenium 18SWS1100 maybe?
No, that has much worse off axis, and less high end, response compared the the 18WS600 I already own and linked to in this post:

By 'officially' I mean within the manufacturers recommendations and 18Sound recommends a minimum crossover of 1.4K for that driver.
It will be challenging to get an 18” to play well enough for critical listening above 300Hz but if it’s meant as a party speaker or for HT I guess it ought to do.

I meant that 'real' difference may be less than 'official')).
BTW, why 4552nd officially is 1000?
JBL 2426 'officially' recommended minimum crossover is 800 and Radians 4** 800 with 24 dB/octave..
the best pro 18" for what you are trying to achieve is Faital Pro 18FH500 and 18FH510...
the reason is the low mms...

with 4x 8" can give a better midrange IMO (since you will have subs <100hz)
would look really cool too....
eminence alpha 8a.... cheap and cheerful!
