The harmonics tricks(for which I don't think Cognaxon would help you, you would need Audacity or equivalent) I haven't gotten into, other than to confirm that adding a 3rd harmonic(180hz) to a 60hz Audacity file flattens the peak, which may be helpful. i believe Mark Kelly has had success with this, though i don't know if he uses computer files.
No, I use vector summation in the analogue domain. My controllers turn the digital microcontroller off once it's done its business of setting the frequency division number.
So, for my designs, timing is digital, everything else is analogue.
BTW there are two possible phase realtionships between first and third harmonic*, one of which flattens and the other sharpens the peak.
* As classically defined, with synchronous zero crossing. Obviously you can have an infinite number of phase relationships if you move the zero crossing.

Yes, I was referring to synch'd zero crossings, with the 180HZ @ max negative when 60HZ is max positive and vice versa, causing the 60HZ peaks to flatten. Assume this(if not overdone) reduces cogging.

I am looking for a schematic of the motor control unit from follow URLs:

I need it for troubleshooting at a diy clone of this model.

Does the Linn Hercules/Mose power supply suffer the same excessive heat problems like the Valhalla board ? From just visual inspection (I cannot find the Hercules schematics), the hi voltage supply side seems like the same design as the Valhalla with 2 x 15k voltage drop resistors which fried the Valhalla boards.
Any experiences on this ?
Thanks

burned resistors are no longer an issue, when one select the Vishay RTO 50 F (TO-220) with big heatsink.
I came across this just recently and these may make all other power supplies obsolete.

There are three Lingo envelope versions from Linn, but only two PCB-Versions - go to the attached images.
Who can tell me the motor voltages from the Lingo version II and III ?
The motor voltages from the first version are 90VAC while the first seconds and 50VAC while normal operating.
If the values of voltages while normal operating lower, sound is definitely better.
In this case, to improve the sound, one could simply reduce the voltage for the motor on the first version by reducing the gain of U3, PIN 8-9-10 (the Linn AXIS motor, which have probably the same parameter, runs with only 20VAC).
