I spent a bit of time with a SIT-3 Saturday. The sound was,
for lack of a better word, immersive. And there were those spooky
moments when I suddenly noticed new things in familiar
recordings.
It's a beautiful amplifier.

Would like to know how Mr Pass terminated the Cinemag transformer.
In the DefiSit schéma there is no resistor across the 1:4 auto-transformer.

Pascal - that's simple ; in exact case , Papa didnt saw any need to linearise xformer's transfer characteristic , contrary to , say , Edcor in M2
so , driven with that generator ( complementary JFet buffer) and loaded with that load ( biasing circuit of OS ) , there is no need for altering transfer characteristic of Cinemag xformer

There is no termination. Effectively it goes straight into the Gates and the
only loads are the Gates and Zener protection capacitance.

how you can tell ...... maybe only counting on Papa's honesty and integrity - to always place all parts on top of pcbs , and not hide parts in schematic ........
anyhow , that resistor ( or RC) is trivial thingie for Pa , certainly not worthy of playing games with industrial espionage agents
