Yep, dynamic shadow with pull-back delays makes it realistic analog VU.
Talking abt project ~ anyone knew how to get a Media player (on android box/RPi/Openwrt router) to do display Song title (Mp3tag), even better if can display Song Lyrics (lrc file) via an USB-LCD panel?

Hahaaa! The new kind of volume slider idea is coming, stealthy touch-me panel 😱 Gesture chip involved. Everybody, please, tell me if it is bad or so-so, I really need your personal opinion about that! If you do think it is looking good, great or OMG, do not comment at all 😉

Mmmm, slider for a device with handprints at the front 😉 BTW the text should be "24/192". Lower text could be slightly smaller.
jean-paul, I very limited regarding font size, the machine is tiny 158x108x35mm, and thank you for 24/192, will be corrected. Actually, it is not necessary to touch the panel, 5-10mm above works fine too.

very nice...!
Mk-1 is telling that you are unsure and it will most probably be a mk 2. I'll wait then 😉
Better call the thing Hifitoy-2 if that happens.
An area + and an area -, well separated, would be better than slide?

You asked for it.. the front panel design is horrible .. 😀
Cluttered layout, different fonts and sizes, huge embossed logo, no structure at all.. This design really downgrades the whole setup.

doctormord, I agree, the ID is my weakest side for sure. Huge embossed logo involved to hide proximity sensor, I don't like that but I see no way to hide the sensor better.
TNT, hiFi TOY II supposed to be open/closed loop switchable powerDAC wit custom noise-shaper. It's waiting my hard time to improve THD vs frequency response, next I'll consider HiFiTOY II as ready for release.
chermann, thank you. I enjoy the design process a lot regardless of how hard it going. From the Feb 2018 when I started, perhaps I made thousands of modifications, hundreds subversions, and million ideas ))
yes its a toy!
maybe offer with a resonable price 3 options?
1 plexi..😉
2 nothing on it...as proposed
3 with all labels on it
Windforce85, yeaah but looks like not finished engineering sample, too empty to me.. Need to rearrange somehow ID elements but I'm not sure how and what exactly.
The initial look of the first product firmly sets the company place in the market. From a long time there is minimalist design trends which are most popular and safest way to do the things. You need to do your best at this stage becouse later there will be hard to you to make a turn from the track. Other's told you right that front panel is overloaded with information. It looked like basic line of Pioneer amplituners from 90's not like sophisticated gear full of right-implemented modern technology (I admire your project from a long time and no offence to Pioneer technology off course). I did 5-minut free retouch but in my opinion it should be redesigned from the scratch.
chermann, don't forget that I'm just freelance designer for now, I have no my own factory to play with lots of versions. When I worked for ODM factory I never did any mech design works, there were 2 mech guys for it, and as I remember to design something original and nice looking wasn't trivial task. That's why I appreciate any opinion about ID, and I'l attach better view for anyone who wish to try to mod the ID 😉

At least please skip 'HiFiToy' written with ComicSans font on product front panel becouse it is textbook ID suicide.
