I use the 3k2 in my 4P1L PSE and work flawlessly. They sound really good and measure as well. I’m travelling now so don’t have my FR plot at hand.

On the other hand their 5K SE amp doesn’t measure no way near their claimed specs. Close to a Lundahl. They wouldn’t accept my measurements thought: I tested with a real amp so you provide real quiescent current on the primary inductance as well as driver impedance

Also their consistency between parts isn’t the best, however value for money is great

If they would get better on the measurement that would be a plus

SE transformer OPT
– Đầu vào 3200 Ω; 45H/1kHz
– Trở kháng ra 8 Ω; 16Ω
– Dải thông 10 Hz đến 80kHz (± 1.5dB)
– Dòng điện 150mA
– Test cách điện 1000VDC
– Công suất 18W
– Kích thước (cm) 11x10x10
– Trọng lượng 2,8kg
That is a very, very promising set of specs. I wonder how the BW measurements were taken (how much standing DC current/how much voltage).

Hiya, I Have designed and had Amorphous cores produced in Australia and do like the sound of them with single drivers that dont require bass response below 30 Hz
The cores tend to saturate when high levels of bas are required even if it is just for brief moments you can measure the compression and the over all sound is still quite pleasant but the tops roll off pretty much unnoticed unless you have sophisticated measuring equipment across the swings to show you what is actually happening.
For an amorphous tranny to work well for a 300B a Hitachi c core size of AMCC 160 x 2 is required .
AMCC 60-AMCC100 x 2 will work but if you want a completely flat response then very large cores are required then you get into monoblock territory and up up goes the expense and I make no money, OK for DIY folk but for commercial production HiB M3 GOSS is a clear winner with freq response upto 90-100 kHZ with ISO Tango's Orient HiB Cut C cores
I enjoy listening to Amorphous cores and have then ready to go for folk who want to try the exotix including Nano but you also need to measure insertion loss just to see where things are at in terms of low distortion and overall crystal clear clarity when the amp is under duress trying to push out heavy bass when vocals are present in the mix, have a listen to what is actually happening and see if their is freq compression and any effect on the tonality of the presentation at the moment, our ears are very sensitive devises and they will tell you if you are keenly listening .
IMHO the overall total music presentation, timbre and harmonics suit HiB M3 or Orient Cit core for accurate end to end presentation under all driving conditions.
I enjoyed my foray into Exotoc Metal Like Amorphous and ig I owned a pair of lowthers would likely run with it as an option but if you have large horns with 15 inch bass drive units you will need something that can deal with the demands of real dynamic swings and for me HiB M3 wins over the exotics for this every time, it is simple physics in play and core saturation albeit briefly being pushed to saturation for the exotic metal unless you have Kilo's of it onboard, about 4-6 kg of double C core tranny ........

Nguyen seems flexible about prices to me - I think some bargaining may be possible.

A really good idea would be a discount system for members of DIY Audio. Should be e.g. 10% I would think. They have this on the coffee forum I subscribe to - members get discount on bags of coffee.

I really want to try this opt!,maybe a group buy? the export price is very good....
