Hello members.
This is to inform that for normal operation of the amplifier with default value of all resistors the LEDs should be 1.8V rated normal brightness type.
I did mention this in the setup guide but CitizenKane brought this into my notice in a recent email conversation and his suggestion for a clarification posted in public seemed logical to me as not everyone may report a problem during setup and/or may not follow the guide thoroughly.
Note that during trimming and with the jumpers "open", the amplifier's VAS stage is protected from overcurrent and using for example a 3V rated LED will Not make anything explode or fail but may make trimming unresponsive.
Can higher voltage rated LEDs be used if the recommended ones aren't available?
Yes. Just replace the two 220ohm resistors (R7, R8) with two 560ohm and you'll be able to use the LEDs and trim normally without any problem.
