Sorry, I meant 36V 4A
The inductor in that case was a Hammond 100mH 5A. The part number escapes me at the moment. It's big. 🙂
Hammon make a non shielded 5A 100mh choke the 195T5 . Depemding on who you buy it from it's about $90 give ot take a few dollars. And as Michael said it's big weighing 14lbs. I shure wish I had bought more than one when someone had them on Ebay for $35 including postage ....
Michael it would be good if DiyAudio store would stock the PCBs.

I received 2 hammond 193v chokes from Digikey yesterday so will build with IRFP250 to start with.

Yeah...start with 193V/IRFP250 then go 195T5/hockey puck and recycle 193V in Vfet L'amp... 🙂

This one need nice front end and preamp with lots of gain.

Well, the distortion was lower due mainly to the much higher bias, and the output impedance is a little lower. I haven't spent any time listening to it yet.
It's really just a case of me taking things to the extreme out of morbid curiosity and the pure fun of it. Whether it sounds better or not wasn't really the priority. 🙂
