Things are falling place. Well we've had to push them a bit !
This year should really be a special one. Great presenters, great food and snacks, great venue right on the San Francisco Bay (hmm can I hear Otis Redding still echoing? )

All you have to do is:
1. Show up
2. If you have something you've made, bring it! Now you have a reason to finish up that component you've been working on.

And as has been mentioned above, if you DO bring a DIY component, you don't have to pay the $20 admission! Why have we done this? Because the heart and soul of Burning Amp has always been to see and hear inspiring stuff people have built. So we want lots of ear and eye candy to match the level of the presentations we have this year. It's up to you!

Exciting (?) News! This is the 10th Burning Amp! We started 11 years ago but skipped a year.

We gotta get Zen Mod back here for a show soon. About 5 years ago diyAudio members donated to buy him a ticket!
He showed up and grilled the sausages for us. Nowadays we have Indian Food, but we could find something for him to do... .

Unfortunately, I will be in Brazil and I will not be able to participate.
Will any YouTube channels broadcast live, besides Michael Rothacher? If so, which one?
I suggest creating a list of YouTube channels that will cover the event (live or not).
What do you think?

BAF 2017

WOW! I grew up in the Bay Area! My Father worked in the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph building on New Montgomery from 1959 to 1984. I saw a lot of electronic and cameras in "The City" over the years. Now I am too old and decrepit and too far away to see this event. Enjoy Guys! Blow up an amp for me:yikes::D

This will be my first BA event - have missed the last few events but the intent was there. I've got some Aleph amps yet to be built and a Pearl phono pre that's just fabulous.

Am considering hauling a set of EdgarHorns up for someone to demo their amp(s) with. The cabinets are not pretty (as in unfinished) but were built by me under the guidance of the good Dr. Edgar in his shop. They really look DIY! (Hint: He signed them as the last set of Titans built.)

I'll need help getting them moved into the demo room, though. Also, I'll bring them in an open truck bed so if there's rain, I'll have to bail on the idea.

Any interest, if I can arrange it? In any case, I'm absolutely looking forward to the event. Thanks to all who have arranged it for the 10th time!

Cheers,

David in Santa Cruz

Hi David,

It would be great to have your EdgarHorns available for amp demos, etc. Thanks for offering to bring them up for the day! Don't worry, there are people willing to help you move them into the demo rooms and later back to your vehicle. Just come to the BA venue at Fort Mason. People should be around the loading dock that can help, or you can come up to the second floor and let it be known that you need some help getting the 'horns up and into place. People are happy to help when there is a need!

Answering in Charlies’s behalf, We accept everyone on site, so there is no need, or way to buy tickets in advance. Historically we have always accommodated everyone.

Charlie, I am seriously considering coming from Nashville, do I need to purchase ticket ahead of time or onsite? Also do I need to make a reservation or is there space for all?
Thanks

I may be remembering wrong, but I don't think it was THAT expensive. The question is more how fast a connection we would get. Probably we should check on that..

Mark

Linear Integrated Systems will be recording the presentations and they usually post them a few days after. I'm told broadband access is really expensive at Fort Mason, so streaming is unlikely.

I'll try to LIVE tweet on Twitter as much as I can:
