Well, the flat -> 3d -> 4d idea is in it.... your tesseract comment reminded me of it. Flat earthers belong in Flatland...

IMHO, the 1D, 2D, 3D or 4D is not the problem.
Everyone wants to live between these states, no matter which level they are about to reach (or not).
While we are comparing IQ ratings here I thought I would share this.
MY ENTIRE LIFE IS SHARING PICTURES WITH PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET I DONT KNOW! SEND HELP
I often share words with people i don't know and (i will perhaps never see again)... life is a gift and you should thanks everyone evrytime 😀
There are probably integer, rational, irrational and complex numbers of dimensions*IMHO, the 1D, 2D, 3D or 4D is not the problem.

My mathematics schools lessons are in the trash can (escpecially complex numbers)... my brain have selected only what is important for me to survive.
The diference between an idiot and me is that i know why and at wich point i'm an idot 😀

I flushed the calculus and differential equations buffer shortly after getting my engineering degree over 2 decades ago. I have not needed this information since passing those classes.
On a different note, I screen grabbed this image of a Space X launch in which 10 Iridium X communications satellites were strewn out of a single cargo payload into LEO. One satellite has just separated, and 3 more are visible behind it.

Electrons in Copper Wire
I sent this to a friend today about the speed of travel through wires ( 0.5 to 0.75C is common ) and yet a single electron might take 12 hours when at 1 amp travelling through a 2 mm wire. I wonder if a Flat Earther would even bother to start to think about this.

Hang on. I'm as dumb as a venus flytrap. Could you please explain what relevance this has to the flat earth theory? Pretty please.
Easy enough. We tackle Flat Earthers with simple ( to us ) bits of science. I suddenly realised any science is like swearing to them. Or am I wrong. Do they selectively wake up to science as long as not about Spherical Earth? If you read the links I gave they look almost as stupid as the Flat Earth. How can an electron take 12 hours to walk 1 metre if 1 amp and yet at worse progress tavel at 0.5C ? However it's well researched and is taken to be true. It's incredible how much we just have to accept. I always use the Richard Fyneman test. If they look relaxed and yet animated they most likely are telling the truth. He never seemed to be selling something except we should be interested.
My friend treated these links almost as if he had taken a strong drug. I see why he would.

I've recorded on my favorite TV chain a reportage treating the whole apple commercial story.
They interviewed design engineers, and these ones clearly said that they've used psychotropic substances in order to desing their phones.
They also talking about digital shamanism and allucinations and that they would never have succeed like that without that help.
I really think that they should avoid this for their mental and physical health.
... but what a success, 200 billions of cash in the fiscal paradises all around the world.
What else 😀

Okay.
I have the perfect picture then.
That sums things up perfectly..... though in the end, even this 'model' is a lie LOL.

The two have nothing to do with each other. To surmise a flat earther has little knowledge of EM theory or even an interest in it is a good bet. I watched the BBC 1954 version of 1984 last night (Donald Pleasence and Peter Cushing) this afternoon I went to clear out my last storage unit and my daughter's copy of the book fell out of a box onto the floor, a sign? Ignorance is Strength.
BTW this is by far the best depiction of taking control of the younger generation and turning them on their parents, a prototype for Roald Dahl's Veruca Salt.

Struggeling with horizon-effects I guess... 😉What is the view on this from a flat-earther?

Oh come on. We all put up a big front here about our design, test, and build experiences. But we all know what really happens. When I go in the lab, I use peyote, don a big shiny cape and tall pointy hat, and chant and wave my magic wand around. Truth be told I never even plug the soldering iron in. After hours of tripping, chanting, and dancing, I am exhausted but out of the magic smoke appears a fully tested prototype. Then I make some drawings in a notebook that nobody knows what they mean, and when I emerge from the lab everybody oohs and aahs at how clever I am. They even call me The Wizard. If only they knew.

I usually don't give too much credit to journalists because they always offer a biased and distorded view of the reality.
But when apple employes are talking... 🙄
IMHO a large part of what you call "flat earthers" simply want to think different :

This forum changed from laughing at Flat Earthers to seeing similar traits. I just told my boss that speculation is fine as long as it is stated. Mr Higgs neared lifes end when his specualtion became reasonably like fact. One who writes here told me he used to have lunch at the same table as Higgs. It is surprising who joins us here.
I used this link to try to get a friend to see a bigger picture. This friend always wants black and white facts for things he wants to be true. OMG I can't cope with that. Isn't it interesting that semicoductors were described before 1897 when Thompson launched the electron idea onto the world ( Old World word for Amber ). I would guess by 1920 an electron was a bit Flat Earth. Works OK for me. The attraction might be a mini Solar System.

Microdosing seems to be the thing to do right now.
LSD ‘microdosing’ is trending in Silicon Valley – but can it actually make you more creative? | The Independent
I read about "microdosing" in the Wall Street Journal. It's very interesting, but do they know what they're doing? If you mess with LSD etc your mind might check out permanently.
I did LSD, mescaline, peyote, and I actually grew magic mushrooms while in school. I didn't trip a lot of times but I can tell you, it's dangerous. Trips do open up your mind, but you have to be careful it doesn't fall out.
Worst thing that happened to me is that I couldn't get it together for a calculus test. I was a little "cloudy" for about 4 days after a trip. But I know someone that did LSD with a history major and they sat for hours talking about WWII. This guy somehow became convinced that he was Hitler and for at least the next 20 years would tell EVERYONE that he was Hitler. He spent years in extreme remorse, asking himself over and over how he could have committed such atrocities. He was overcome with remorse. He was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and has spent the last 40 years heavily sedated. His once promising life has been totally wasted. He has brought extreme grief to his family. He's committed horrible crimes, including assault and battery, attempted murder, and arson. He never went to prison because he's way too nutty.
So trip with caution.
