I do not wanna hack this tread so I have only a short question.
Did you guys here experience a high distortion with a load and low without a load, my circlotron do this, in sim I get very low distortions, that is strange, I think I have to look at the supply but when do set idle higher distortion drops, maybe a hexfet like the irfp460 do not like a circlotron like setup, I can try a other aproach Kaneta did.
regards

What you want to compare?
Distortion when amplifier run with a load and without load,or a simulation with a real amplifier?

I did measure with arta and with a load distortion is high, without load very low, I have a real amplifier tested after simulation, possible because it is a circlotron the trouble is pc card. so have to make a balanced to unbalanced converter or a pc card with balanced inputs.
So I did want to now if there are other things I do miss here.
thanks

Anyone has a schematic/PCB layout of a good speaker protection using SSR (mosfets as SSRs). I know that Bonsai has one but only the SSR part...
Thanks

TB3 tone control = Marantz PM8004/8005 tone control![]()
Damm it's from Marantz, what to say then no doubt it will be fantastic to here it. Thanx for sharing it Sir Apex and mrmax063.

Nice work! Great PC heatsinks and perfect for job. Did you upgrade to HV version (63v caps and MJE340/350)? Don't forgot to use silicone insulator pads on transistors and heatsinks.

Hi X, Thank you for your great contribution to this diyaudio thread. I have learned a lot from this forum.
This is the first time I build solid state amp. I really enjoy the progress
About FH9HV version, which pair is correct? MJE340/350 or KSA1381 /KSC3503? (refer to http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/soli...y-simple-quasi-mosfet-amp-21.html#post4823060 >>> it is KSA/KSC, cmiww)
I have ordered 4pcs pcb FH9, for the first pair 2pcs I use BD139 / BD140 like pictures above . And the rest will be HV version. I have ordered several KSA/KSC (and also silicon pad insulator) from aliexpress, but not yet comming. Hope it will arrive soon
CFA amp with FET input
This wonder deserves a PCB design by Alex mm for sure!
merry xmas everyone and esp. Mile, just keeps putting out designs, that I would like to try, I have a folder full of them. The real nice ones, I simulate in ltspice, just to figure out how they work and perform. I wish I had a stock of old jfets to try them out.
cheers

Marry Christmas !

Same layout with A33 ,but changed input transistors to JFETThis wonder deserves a PCB design by Alex mm for sure!
