S03 boards were bought from Acko. They look like high quality PCB's to me.
I will use "swap meet" in the future. I don't know how to move the post from this thread to "swap meet"

No min or safety distance as such but I would keep this under 5cm max
Thnx, Acko.
Acko - not selling the cheaper bbb-isolator board anymore?
There are few spares left. Please contact me for further information
acko: how's it going with the SPDIF->I2S board, with fsel output - getting any closer with this?
Also, have anybody tried any of the later Amanero firmwares, like 1096, 1097, 1099?? - and if so, is it still Slave_for_1080 CPLD that is what is used, or maybe Slave_RJLR CPLD?

What is the difference between bbb cape from acko and Hermes-BBB/Botic cape? Looking for something to put between bbb and dddac.

Acko BBB cape only provides safe shutdown for BBB. If you wish reclok, master clokc source for BBB and I2S isolation, you need to add Acko reclock AKL-S03.
Hermes provide provides safe shutdown for BBB and I2S isolation. To obtain master clock source for BBB and reclok you nedd to add Cronus board.
You will get the same features with any of them, for the implementation of two channels (stereo). However, Hermes/Cronus allows up to eight channels.

can this be used to isolate and reclock a multichannel I2S interface from miniDSP USB streamer to an 8CH ESS9018 DAC in sync mode?
thanks
thanks
the BBB has no problem working with 45/49 master clk input, if you set the kernel accordingly

now i want full control from bbb to r2r, is it possible to use pins on BBB as a rs232 interface? Ive seen posts in the r2r thread where people were exploring this with arduino.
Can you elaborate a bit more how you set the kernel accordingly ? Are you using Botic-Driver ?

I have completed the design but not the board layout ... A little busy with my new DSD DAC but rest assured this Spdif module is definitely going ahead once the DAC is out of the way!
Do I understand correctly that the Config Tool provided by Amanero in their firmware update package (such as the oem_tool_117 zip file) allows one to install/update firmware and the configuration but the tool does not show the existing firmware version and configuration of the connected device?
If so, how does one check the existing firmware versions and configuration on the Amanero device?
Thanks!

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I did player using RPi+dam1021 with control over dam1021 by UART from RPi.
Now I star discover BBB. So I'm interesting in your project.
On your picture "BBB_dam1021.jpg" FSEL IN wire is missing (am I right?). Did you use FSEL IN ? Do you use botic driver image?
How did you manage switch between 44.1kHz and 48kHz sampling ? If somebody can confirm that FSEL IN works like is described in dam1021 guide?
Some good news about Acko's SO3...
I've recently been experimenting with my BeagleBone Black/Botic/SO3/9018 DAC project;
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/group-buys/227502-amanero-isolator-reclocker-gb-172.html#post4206993
to run it as an HQPlayer network audio appliance (NAA). This has been really positive and I've been able to stream upto 384KHz PCM and 24MHz DSD to the BBB with full sync clocking by the SO3.

S03+
Hi All,
There are now S04 and S07 products that take it to even higher level of performance and features. These are mainly for pro-audio solutions but if there is sufficient interest I can look into discounted prices for GB or quantity orders.

I'd be interested Acko
cheers
Thanks Lindamar, I am assuming it is the S04 as shown. This can isolate and sync re-clock up to 2 compatible sources e.g Amanero/WaveIO usb and BBB.
Since you are the first one I will offer the S04 at the price of S03 as soon as the next batch becomes available 🙂
