Let's not start this again. The pizza and whatever thread. As long as we agree to exclude Chicago-style tomato pie and anything with pineapple on it from being called "pizza."
Have there not been even worse abominations committed with the name "pizza" attached than pineapple and Goat's milk Feta cheese?
In the Elzas, I had a tarte flambée, layered with goat cheese, garlic, lots of fresh sliced chili peppers and chili oil. Out of the oven, cut basil was sprinkled on top.
Yummy yummy yummy, wish they had galette lunchrooms/diners like that overhere.

Yes indeed. People (and I use that term loosely) in the Midwest often dip pizza in ranch sauce. I would support on the spot execution for that.
Fries with mayo anyone?
Yummy?

God, I'm glad that's a really small picture.
Ack!
And yes you can get a potato/mayo pizza there too.
I've had a potato pizza before and was pleasantly surprised. I've also ventured into the obscure as far as toppings are concerned but I will forever loathe that bad Canadian who first thought about adding pineapple to a pizza. Sorry Pete.
What's next - Cheez Whiz on Beluga caviar?
Having said that, pineapple is cheaper here than in Maui so we do eat quite a lot of it. Grilled rings are one of my faves.

One of our specialty pizzas is topped with thin sliced yellow potatoes tossed with olive oil and rosemary, then caramelized onions and chopped wild mushrooms, and finally raclette. The potatoes almost melt into the crust, and the earthiness just screams for a nice Cornas.
^ SY, I'd want that with arugula, too.
Anyone ever done (precooked) butternut squash, pear, onion, and arugula pizza? Quite good. Forgot which cheese was used but definitely not mozarella. A hard cheese of sorts.

Something similar. Gorgonzola dolce, walnuts, and pears, then arugula topping after the pizza is cooked.
And what's wrong with mayo with fries? It's these pizza threads that are pi**ing me off. There is a small town in the Contra Costa area that offers a real pizza with artichoke hearts. That's right, all veggie pizza. With hearts. You well never miss the meat,Fries with mayo anyone?
In France, esp south you get artichoke on pizza a lot, which I love. Even better if they crack an egg on top 🙂
(but I am a heathen, I have ketchup AND mayo with my chips. Chips mind not fake fries)

Because it's PUS ruining a perfectly good french fry.

Italy as well- the egg part is especially popular in the areas around Alba and Torino.
I have ketchup AND mayo with my chips.
And this is why when people around the world think of fine cuisines, the first thing that pops into their minds is Britain.
Good ol' days of chips with O&V, Brittania rules the ketchup
