Ron, I know exactly what you mean. Some people are just not born of the world it seems. The number of dangerous things you see out there, it's incredible not more people die.
"Gee what's that bare wire for? Oh I know, you pull on it like a zip cord to remove the outer insulation. You can trim it off after that it's not used for anything. Trust me, I do it all the time"

Say no more, I'm sold
I know huh?
Not a bad deal on the fridge and microwave either. I just kept scratching my chin and "I'm not sure, let me think about it." They played the game and we both end up happy.
Tomorrow morning the electrician comes to install the breaker (mandatory) and check over my work and later, the appliance installers (again mandatory) arrive.
36" clearance to front of breaker panel sorted, I see 😉 Do they use the NEC in canada?
Yes, no gas in our complex. We were thinking induction but some of our cookware is not available in high magnetic so we are settling on flat top.
We lost the first offer on our townhouse because the buyers wanted pre-approval to be able to convert the kitchen to a huge propane tank. The truth is if the utility is available it is against the local code so tearing up everything would be required to connect to the gas utility.
just kept scratching my....
So, any hints on what the 7-zone food processor is capable of ?
(appears as if you're the first robotica foodie of this thread)
Microwave installed. They gave us the wrong one. This is a combo Microwave/Convection oven. I don't think I will call them back 😉
On another note, we now know what we are doing with the rest of phase 1. The appliance garage goes where the fridge used to be and will look similar to the armoire I stuck in there temporarily. The new fridge will go where the old one is shown, on the outside of the kitchen horseshoe as it wouldn't fit in the old spot.

Help me out here - 7 zone food processor?
5-zone ceramic top, 2 ovens, makes 7.
Temperature programmable 'cuck' pit, timer perhaps ?
Ars gratia artis : 7 zone food processor
(I find myself fatiguing the most)
OOOew, that ceiling pots & pans rod/bar is cool ! IKEA hooks ?

Congrats on scamming the MWO/Convection combo...best thing ever, just don't use convection at max heat.
Alas, the internal fans will pull in every last bit of steam or cooking oil vapour with it mounted directly over the stove like that...not good.
Dan.

Got it. Yes, it's a far cry better than rubbing two sticks together. 24 settings for each element means there are no excuses. The ovens are pretty interesting as well as there is no bottom heating element in the cavity, it all blows in through the convection fan, so the oven is larger that it would be.5-zone ceramic top, 2 ovens, makes 7.
The hooks are from the dollar store and I forget where I got the bar. That was borne out of necessity. No room for the pots and pans so the most used ones are a hangin'. The blue flag wasn't supposed to make the pic.OOOew, that ceiling pots & pans rod/bar is cool ! IKEA hooks ?
Having 3 other convection ovens means we really don't need it but what the hay, their mistake. I noticed it has a combo feature where they operate simultaneously. I am going to read up on that after work.Congrats on scamming the MWO/Convection combo...best thing ever, just don't use convection at max heat.
Not to worry Dan, it's an OTR (Over the range unit). They have an exhaust fan built in that exits into the same duct as the original hood fan. It's quite effective.Alas, the internal fans will pull in every last bit of steam or cooking oil vapour with it mounted directly over the stove like that...not good.
My parents had one of the combo microwave/convection oven in the early 90's and my mom would use that setting for roasts, as the heating was very even from the inside out, but still get a nice crust.
I need to get out more, I had no idea that OTR mwo's exist.
Combination mwo and range hood is obvious I suppose, except to those of us who service these machines.
My concern was with the mwo magnetron fan coating the internals (not the cooking cavity) with kitchen grease.
I have serviced plenty of mwo's in this condition....ever opened an asian's or indian's mwo ? - usually coated with curry/fish sauce vapours and smells.
My other advice about not running the convection function at full temp long term is that cavity heater fan bearings fail, insulations and other bits too, also gunk on the walls gets carbonised and does not clean off easily.
My mwo runs multiple single modes - mw, convection or griller element, plus combination modes - mw + convection, mw + griller, programmable sequential modes too I think...I need to RTFM.

These $50 benchtop convection cookers work great too.
Dan.
Capice now eh Jacco ?.

You have to think that's been addressed, no? I think the intake for the magnetron fan goes through the same filters as the exhaust vent.My concern was with the mwo magnetron fan coating the internals (not the cooking cavity) with kitchen grease.
Ya, no real need to run it full tilt with the other ovens but good advice, thanks. My other advice about not running the convection function at full temp long term is that cavity heater fan bearings fail
Me too.I need to RTFM.
This is the countertop unit we have now. It's quite good as well. Not $50 mind you but worth the coin. These $50 benchtop convection cookers work great too.

The beauty of the glass convection cooker is that the bowl is easy to clean, chuck it in the laundry sink and soak with bleach...hey, presto perfectly clean. This is the countertop unit we have now.
