Sorry guys this is not the password wich is hex, that was an example in case my neighbout wanted to use my access 😉
BTW,
removed the quotes, no wifi :'(
So I'll redo it, even re-download Moode and start from scratch; but this time I put my router in: WPA, the last of the list chosen.
Which version of Moode are u using?

small request
NEVER MIND!!! Found it
Hi Tim,
This is a very little thing... i noticed TR2 didn't have 'The Current" out of Minneapolis as a radio station. Did that go away for good?
Things just keep getting better on Moode! Thanks... and keep up the good work.
Thanks,
Ryan

It's great to have more stations, and I'm using the radio more than ever, but the list is getting very long.
Would it be possible to let the user favorite specific stations, and then sort or select only those? I know you can search, but favoriting would be much easier.
Also, a way of showing/selecting the quality or bit-rate of a station would be good as some of the lower bit-rate stations can sound a little rough!
Hi,
Possible but wouldn't it be just as easy to make a playlist with favs?
The bit rate for radio stations would have to be made part of the file name when the station is created because until the station is actually played, there is no metadata that might indicate the rate. The rate thats displayed by Moode comes from snapshot returned by MPD status command after the station starts playing. Sometimes the rate is less than the max rate due to adjustments being made by the stations streaming server.
Regards,
Tim

Easy to do yourself, from another computer on the network navigate to the radio folder.
Create a new folder within it, name it something like 'Stock', and cut and paste all the files from the existing radio folder into it.
Make another folder within the radio folder called, 'Faves' and then copy and paste those stations you like from Stock to Faves.
Update mpd and then just select the Faves folder for your playlist.

- NEW: moodeOS 1.0 J-Lite factored for Moode Audio Player
- NEW: WiFi automatic Access Point (AP) mode
- NEW: True random play for a continuous stream of music
- NEW: Airplay metadata and cover art
- NEW: Audio scrobbler service for Last.FM
- NEW: USB storage devices auto-mounted by disk label
- NEW: Network configuration system
- NEW: Auto-configuration system
- UPD: Bump to Linux kernel 4.4.8
- UPD: MPD custom compiled version 0.19.15
- UPD: WiringPi compiled version 2.32
1) Fixes to bugs reported for TR1:
- FIX: NFS mount fails because rpcbind not enabled at boot
- FIX: Ext4 file system fails to auto-mount
- FIX: Channel swap can occur when Pi 3 + I2S + 16 bit audio
2) Moode users have reported the following adapters work in AP mode.
- Raspberry Pi 3 integrated WiFi adapter
- Canakit WiFi Adapter
- Raspberry Pi USB WiFi Dongle
- WiFi adapters based on RTL RT5370 chipset
3) Console login userid=pi, password=raspberry. Preface all cmds with sudo.
4) I'm specifically looking for feedback on whether BBC 320K HLS radio streams can be played by MPD 0.19.15 as has been suggested.

I won't be able to test this until tomorrow, alas.
If the BBC HLS streams work without having to mess about with minimserver that would be fabulous.

Unfortunately the situation for me is the same as before: The BBC streams play 10 seconds of silence, then the player stops.

Great work, Tim. You must live on Jolt Cola and Oreo Cookies (to be found in every IT startup *way* last century).
I have no time right now to test extensively, but I quickly got tr3 up on a spare RPi2B with USB headset and was pleased to see what you did with the stations I proposed. Thanks.
I had a spot of trouble with switching from Wifi AP- to WiFi client-mode which I think was a self-inflicted wound caused by my using a cell phone to run through the configuration menus. In the next day or so will try again from a virgin install using a laptop to configure via AP so I can be sure I pushed the right buttons.
To beat a dead horse, I think it was wise to abandon WEP authentication all together. Our time is better used helping everyone get to WPA/ WPA2 than to diagnose problems with WEP. Debian has been emphatic that WEP is deprecated and I wouldn't be surprised if every major distro begins completely removing WEP-specific code.

Kent
Hey Tim i have just tested the new release
I report hls to be working !!

How do I test these BBC HLS streams?
By the way the "triple j" stations didn't work for me.
Loaded Moode 2.6 (TR3) on a RPi3... so far so good. Exceptional work Tim!
I did try the last.fm scrobbling feature but does to appear to submit tracks. I double checked credentials. Any logging I can check?

Hi,
Confirmed that there is a bug in TR3 that breaks Audio scrobbler. The mpdas binary is missing from /usr/local/bin.
The bin can be downloaded from TEST CODE at moodeaudio.org. Remember to refresh Browser to get current test code page.

Hi,
Confirmed that the stream links are dead. ABC seems to be migrating all their stations and I've not been able to find any of the new 128K direct stream links...

Hi Tim,
i use the 2.6tr3(rasp 2) in my car as music server with hotspot function.
after booting i can see the wlan access point around after 35 sec.
with the old 2.5 release i use hostapd to get hotspot functionality and after 15 sec i can see the access point.
so is there a possibility to speed up hotspot functionality in the current release ?
(with wlan client function to external wlan router i see the device after 5sec in my network)
