hehe. Email when you have time. I have Cornelius kegs on the brain. Tell me what you want.
Oh, how do the speakers sound by the way? I figure 100 year old Fir suits them just fine lad.

Yep, they broke the mold after crafting your brother - for which the DIY audio community should be relieved - can you imagine a pair of "Property Brothers" Weldon siblings?
Wait, we already have those
Tasty work as always, Scott - honest words of appreciation😉

Hey, I'm the nice one. The one you guys don't know is the real meany."Property Brothers" Weldon siblings?
Of course it is. Like you, he has silk hands when it comes to caressing the wood.Tasty work as always, Scott
That could be taken a couple of ways, Cal

Again my brother has his feet in his mouth.
Yes the 100 year old stair treads found a better home than the wood pile. I will be keeping them here for a short visit to compare them to the FHXL project, then it is off to someplace warm and dry for them. I hope they can handle 15% humidity?
The postage charges are going to be worth more than they are.

Better than deletion of posts and air miles points for unsportsmanlike behaviour to which I seem to be prone lately, and apologize for

Thanks for share your work. Could you please tell me more about your room size and music style preferences, classical, pop, rock, folk.
TIA
Jose
Nice work Alvipet.
How do they sound? Need a lot of equalization/DSP?
They are very good indeed even without equalization/DSP! I took part at Russian Hi-end 2015 exibition in Moscow and they won an award due to sound/design/size

I agree with zman01 100%, that's definitely an impressive collection you got there Poultrygeist! I'd like to know what you feel the sonic pluses & minuses are of the Lowther vs the Tang Band when mounted on an OB? And if you could only have one of the two drivers, which one would you choose to use in an OB, the Lowther or the Tang Band? Finally have you tried the Dayton PS220-8 drivers? I've found once their cones are treated with something like C37 lacquer ---{I use Mike Rispoli's 7-step proprietary treatment}--- they sound very, very good indeed. The PS220-8 sound so good with their cones treated, they beat out Lowther DX4, Fostex FE206E, FE206ES-R, F200A & FE208ES-R drivers to be used in my Sachiko double-back-loaded horns! Of course that's just the opinion of an old man...
I'm listening to: Kingdom of Madness by Magnum

Thanks guys. The Tang Bands are very smooth but a tad too laid back for my tastes. The Lowthers OTOH are lively, lit up sounding and not the least bit boring.
I couldn't justify both so I sold the TB's to a friend who really likes them in his system which is similar to the PureAudio OB's. I'd like to try those Daytons as I keep reading good things about them.
