Yes. From what I see, this is a driver for the lowest notes. It can be used better in a larger, lower fs enclosure. But the driver in the Orbit shifter pro has 30mm xmax and it is well put in use. It is hard (and expensive) for me here in Europe to get my hand on that UXL.

There are no Hornresp inputs that can really model the Keystone ;^).
What driver does the Orbit Shifter use?
It has a proprietary design IIRC.
I am stil trying to sort the info out. I want to build a subwoofer until april and I want to see what will suit my needs. It is between Keys, Xoc1 th18, othorn or a big BR with dual bc18sw115.
This month I will install a pair of TH115 and I will have time to play with them to see what they are made of. I measured some other 218 subs from outline, qube, ev, nexo215, jbl g28 and soon qsc gp118 and 218, all with the same amps so I will see real life comparisson BR vs TH.

I am planning to build some of these soon in using the 2xLab12 configuration but after reading the whole thread i haven't been able to find any photos or schematics showing exactly what the adapter mentioned in #1 looks like in relation to the original design document, if anyone can share photos/details it would be greatly appreciated.

I used a 2x 12" adapter plate over the existing 18" cutout, the 12" cut outs centered horizontally over the 18" cutout (depicted in red below).
If you don't plan on upgrading to the B&C 18" in the future (strongly suggested if you want maximum SPL), just cut the 12" cut outs in the baffle.

I see that you used 0.75" as the thickness of the material and that translate to 19mm in metric but I have only 18 mm here. Will there be a problem?

power match for keystone
I'm trying to select a new amp or amps to power my 4 Keystone subs.
Mine are loaded with B&C 18TBW100-8. 2/3 of my gigs only need one pair of subs and the rest I break out all four subs.
I already have a Symetrix Jupiter8 for DSP so no need for a DSP amp. I am going back and forth on cheap vs bullet proof.....so have not set a budget yet.
What are some good power matches?

Sine143 suggestion's of a SP8000 is a bit light on peak potential, I'd go with the Speakerpower SP12000. Speakerpower makes some very nice amps.
My preference would be an amp that can deliver 3000 watts peak.

From what I experimented, i can say that a K8 bridged on 4 xoc1' s series paralel at RE 5.4 ohms is quite the limit of what those subs cand take and I had to limit RMS power to around 2800 watts /2 seconds because the magnets was starting to get hot after only 5 bass heavy songs. So the SP 8000 has more than enough AVG power but for the peaks, one could use a little more to compensate a little for power compressions. I think this could also be the case for the Keystone.
This is highly program material dependent, dynamically the woofer can handle loads more power.
It is indeed. The 12k is tricky though due to is 220v requirement. I'm very happy with my 12k, however I would still be scared of burning tbw100 8 ohms with a sp2 8k Givin what I like to play.
Def want to stay 120v for supply. Looking at a lot of amp offerings.....given how I deploy 2 or 4 subs depending...... I'm now wishing I had gone with the 4 ohm version tbw100.

I"ve read much on the Keystone, Danley TH 118, and the JTR Orbit Shifter Pro. I have a demo of the OS in Kansas City on June 5 for a potential purchase, but am considering doing a Keystone build to compare. I'd love 4 Keystones at the cost vs the cost of OS or Danley, but also don't want to give up the SPL that the TH 118 and OS can push. I read in this thread that the Keystone is equivalent to a TH 118 or OS. Yet, the numbers posted for a B&C 18SW115-4 Keystone are 130dB. Now I realize that there are any number of ways to measure and report SPL results, but I've read the databass report on the OS and constantly read from Ivan and occasionally for others that the Danley are conservatively rated. Those published reports have levels that are certainly not matched. So, are there any direct SPL measurements of the Keystone compared to the TH 118 or OSPro? Frequency response graphs certainly indicate they are reasonably close. I hate to sink $700 into a Keystone build if it really won't keep up, but I'd love to build some for $900 vs the $1620 for OSPro or $2650 for the TH 118's if indeed they are an equivalent package. A recent post (# 2209) in the xoc1 TH18 thread compared it to a DSL TH-118, other than the top end the output was nearly identical.

PASC built a Keystone and an xoc1 TH18 and reported his findings in posts #114 & 115.
He found the Keystone had more clean output than the slightly smaller xoc1 TH18.
The OS Pro uses a driver with 30mm Xmax excursion, nearly double than the BC 18SW115, I'd expect given more power it would have as much as 6 dB more output than the smaller Keystone (15.53 cubic feet compared to 18.75 cubic feet).
