iPhone and iPad have both restriction with the internal memory for saving your DSD audio files. No external memory supplied, you´ve to go remote.

Today I´m using HF-Player from ONKYO for DoP outputting. I need an update to know if they are new apps for native DSD playing over USB.

I will also need an update to evaluate the ability with Android > 5.

The board offers today the possibility to connect electrically Apple portabe products without using self powered hubs.

Sounds good. However I'm a bit suspect of the neutron star clock for the price. I think at that price level, he should offer a phase noise plot for each clock. Or even one at all would be better than nothing.

The NDK NZ2520 clock the JLsounds board uses can be very good. But the tolerances from clock to clock can vary up to +- 15dB. The only way to know what you getting is to sort and test each one individually. There's people who do that. And the top 5% on a reel are outstanding. Here's actual phase noise plot of some I got.

I have that Onkyo player. I also have the new Korg player. It can do DSD as well. However I'm still looking for one that is DSD compatible, that can network to a samba server. I have a WesternDigital 2tb battery powered portable hard drive with built in NAS and wireless transmission. So I can play my whole 1.5tb music collection through my phone all on battery power, and portable. However the apps I use can't play DSD.
 
First: what can we expect with this idea, playing DSD directly over USB passing only a LP filter.

--> I hope enjoying this for christmas (I´m waiting for the KORG ADC)!

Then: fine tuning, upgrades (reclocking, external connector is present), without precipitation.

Yes that's the one I have. But it can't stream from the NAS. I have 3 other apps that can stream from the NAS, and work perfect, but no DSD support.

The problem with Audiogate is you must store the files on the phone memory. That's terrible! How many files in DSD quality can you fit on an iPhone?

They must have connection to a SAMBA server. Then it's perfect, you can just select the folder right on the wireless hard drive just the same as if it was on the phone memory.

I just found this:

It can play up to quad DSD files. But it downsamples quad to PCM 24/352.8. But it will do single and double DSD via DoP.

It can also connect to a NAS via DLNA. But it looks like you must store the DSD files on the phone memory still. The DLNA can only send a max of 24/192 PCM.
 
I thought I should continue my education by progressing my own flip-flop PCB layout. I've modified the schematic to reflect the observations made previously;

and, having read some material on PCB layout and noting previous comments, I have reworked my PCB. Hopefully improving on the previous. I've added PS decoupling for the flip-flop and, by relocating the flip-flop and staying with through hole components, I have been able to get very short digital tracks.
