Can anybody show me a working schematics for a Push pull 2SK182ES...i happen find 5 pcs of this and want to make an amp with them...
TIA
You could try them in F6 but you'll need to change biasing circuit
Definitely it needs a negative biasing ckt since its a SIT...not like the F6 that use vertical Mosfet.
Do you know what Vgs value you need for 1.3A (Assuming you want to bias at that level)?Definitely it needs a negative biasing ckt since its a SIT...not like the F6 that use vertical Mosfet.

Well boyz, I'm headed to the airport. My visit to Sea Ranch was just fantastic. In addition to getting to spend time with Nelson and Jill, I got to hang out a little with Wayne and Desmond. So, I hope you'll forgive me for not recording anything (or even getting pictures for that matter) because I was just so busy basking in the moment.

I am happy you turned your camera off even if not as I wanted for the sake of enjoying moments with young ladies…..
but for holy graily moments with your heroes!

now you know look of Flying Papa

Such a pleasure to be able to spend time with Mike. We used it all up listening
to music and yakking that I forgot to pick up a camera.
We did, however, exchange some 3 legged treasures...

You would think so, but we have a 3 leg (male) deer here we call Tripod,
And it looks like this season he has managed to attract some females.

"four legs good, three legs bad….."
🙂)))
"3 legs good, 8 legs bad..."
I read that somewhere here...

Clever guy, seems all is possible..... 🙂)
Wow, I slept 'til 10 o'clock today! It finally caught up to me.
To give you a sense of my priorities. I put all my fancy camera equipment in my suitcase, so my transistors could ride on the plane with me 🙂

Forgot to mention that I got to spend a fair amount of time listening to the "Beast with a Thousand JFETs".
They're much more than a novelty 🙂

Fabulous time

sorry to resurrect an old thread but ... you never know whose still subscribed 🙂
The little information out there suggests that the THF-51s have twice the transconductanve vs the other tokins. Is that true or in fact the other way round ?

There are not transconductance data, in specially designed for audio is possible to find this information.
I have many curves did by Jama member of the thf 51 we got together in our vfet fever one year ago and the curves show more transconductance than 180s, the clever in this devices are the rise time much fast and the resistance of 0.1Ω compared with other tokin. The other interesting is the µ factor by twice. The counter is the 5nF of capacitance but the sound in some tangible experiments was extremely bright and fast and the wide band in class A was over 100KHz

Different curves on THF-51S
First...
Happy and prosperous new year to all.
Second...
It has been said that some types of 51s have been difficult to measure and/or give odd curve results. (1Y's and 1Z's possibly). What does this mean in practice with regard to applications for them ? Are they still usable and at what potential values ? (I have 6 numbered sequentially from the same trusted seller).
Thanks for the assistance.
