I am sorry i have missed This post. [emoji15]

The dac is connected through the USB to the pi2. Volumio will detect it just fine.

Regarding psu. It is a bit of an religion.

An smps has less noise feed through from the mains. But the ripple is higher due to the switching. So a low psrr will let the ripple through. That Can be the reason why smps sounds worse than an Linear type In some cases.

I use rc filter on all opamps also the discrete once. It is build up of 10r and 4.7uF giving an lowpass of 3.3khz giving good ripple rejection at 50KHz and up where smps typically Work and have their ripple.

The dac is filtered by high psrr voltage regulators leaving "no noise " left.

So i use an smps In my system. But i have no problem using Linear and i also building one that i will test This month.

No, you are right. They need to be modified, and i will ask my brother if he can look at it this week.

Then there will be a new drawing. But i would rather want to wait for the chassis drawing because of the implementation of the buttons, plexi glass and encoder wheel.

When the chassis is designed the frontpanel parts will be ready as spareparts to who would be interested.

I already has cellrubber feets and plexiglass 15mm glass for IR detector.

The work on the feel looks top grade, can we have the box in that gray too? Black is fine but something with a color like the big Phison case or in dark gray would simply be a killer... WAF is important, anywhere on the planet(WHAT is that ugly thing over there vs. Ah, that looks so NICE ) 😉

Hi Sonnya,
Any chance to get a Dac and diff/se output shield? Shipping would be to Germany or Switzerland. The introductionary price still around?
Maybe a stupid question: Would the front panel without the preamp give me the option to control the volume? Best regards Martin

We are testing the functionality of the Digital volume control right now, so i would get back on the matter tomorrow. But basicly i need to make sure that the xmos chip periodically reads the volume setting from the front panel.. That is our test right now.

Hi, i have run into trouble with the frontpanel controlling the AK4490 build in Volume control for those who wanted to use the frontpanel with DAC only.

I have an timer in the software of the XMOS chip, but we can not figure out how to get the i2c library work in this thread and also in the audio thread.

So i have an proposal for Burninggecko and Enrico. I will refund the Frontpanel or you can get the preamp board mounted with only 1 input channel. It will cost me more than refund the frontpanel, but on the other hand i have sold something that i cannot get working so for Enrico and Burninggecko it would only be fair for them to get this offer.
