Your are putting words in my mouth...so let me clarify...There are those of you who are qualified in this science that do not AGREE WITH ONE ANOTHER! In BOTH group of "experts" you have those who like to use "rational explanations and reliable experiments" to prove one thing or another. The interpretation is NOT ALWAYS THE SAME!

It is also a fact you can make data favor anything you want it to favor. Just like the cigarette companies paid super qualified professors and Doctors to "prove" cigarettes DID NOT CAUSE CANCER! That was a lie!
Another fact is, when looking at "rational explanations and reliable experiments" what you are really doing is trying to prove a preconceived theory most of the time. And, surprise, it's not hard to do!
So I am calling into question the interpretation of that data and not the data itself!
Just like drug companies which "prove" their drugs are safe with Doctors on their payroll, I question the motivation for the interpretation.
And again it comes down to ego. Ego's dictate the interpretation and perception of the facts rather than an objective consideration.
It's basic human psychology.
It seems to me that those who would throw out hundreds of years of established science and engineering and circuit theory, in order to justify some pet story unsupported by so much as a rational theoretical framework... Those are the folks with an ego problem. How about a little respect for the giants to whose coat-tails you attempt to cling?

But their ideas do not have to be. The essence of scientific integrity is proposing and performing experiments (GOOD experiments) that can disprove your ideas. They have been suggested, but if someone refuses to put his own ideas to a rigorous experimental test, those ideas are not worthy of respect.

Erm no. The measure of an experiment being "good" is that someone else can replicate the results independently. You have a theory, you test that theory. You publish that theory (it having been peer reviewed). Then someone else replicates the experiment.
There are a couple of 'proper' PhD grade, peer reviewed and published scientists on this thread. I am not one of them, but when they talk about experiments they know what they are talking about as its their job. you should respect their decades of experience.
I find it amusing and ironic that the people who "learned" what they "know" about science from comic books are able to confidently show off their "knowledge" using computers, cell phones, and satellites. 😀
You could at least mount an effort in that direction, I know, it's a lot of tedious and at times boring work where you have already stated your expectation bias.
What a shame if those people actually never read a single comic book in their life and forced you not to admit that you might be wrong!

I think maybe it's time to calm down, attack Joe I don't think so, flaky ideas yes. You don't seem to recognize the difference. You equate respect with total relativism, everyone's ideas are on an equal ground no matter where they come from. Did you ever consider all the engineers working in the medical instrument business, not one of these tweak BS principles has ever figured in any life critical application. Frankly who cares how much an ABBA LP adheres to its original fidelity.

Good point, science progresses in the marketplace of ideas. I am glad to hear that you have uncovered the math and physics that overthrows circuit theory and explains why a capacitor, in the right place, will have an effect that has never before been understood. I look forward to reading about your new theoretical framework, the mathematics underlying it, it's predictive power, the experiments that have confirmed it...
Oh, you have none of those things? So why am I supposed to take you more seriously than hundreds of years of established science which does have all those things? One again, where is your respect for the likes of Maxwell and Faraday? They did the work and confirmed their hypotheses. If you have real insights I look forward to hearing about them.
