Shigaclone MKII Black - The builders Thread

Nice one xerxes, but.... are you watching a cooking show while you work on the case?.

regards,
John

Eh...yes! I can't help it, it is a bit of a habit. Every day a quarter past six I "must " look at "Dagelijkse kost" on the Belgium channel. I like the Belgium language very much and the program is so very simple it eases the mind! No war or politics at a quater past six!

I see that you keep adding beautiful things to your Shigaclone!

Allee manneke no problem, just funny to see in the picture.

Yeah, Tibi was right when he told me the mundorf would be better, it is, exept for bass and impact/dynamics, so ordered a duelund to stop wondering about what if's.
(don't you just hate it when he is right?)

Btw the dexa clock is at a discount at the moment, you get the neutron power supply for free!!!.

John

Here is a preview rendering of the transport
All materials have been ordered or are here already.

It is still a work in progress so maybe some details will change.

John

Wow! First I was impressed with your skills in sculpting aluminium and now I think you have either to much time on your hand or you are also good in 3D drawings...(so far with the compliments..). Today I tried if I had any talent in laying pavement....the answer is NO, now it time for the beer afterwards....maybe I have talent there....

BTW I also like the design (that is the observation before the beer starts flowing).

R.

Thank R for the compliments, the design i borrowed a little bit.
It doesn't take to long to model actually.

Laying pavement isn't my cup of thee either, i also rather drink beer!!.

There are people you can call and they do it for you (laying pavement), it is a very nice system.

John

It is a nice system indeed..but unfortunate I am bound to DIY due to budget...They say I will be rewarded because there comes a time (eventually) that I look back at my work and can say "I did that"....calling is easier believe me....OMG calling maybe easier than drinking beer...I think the World is ending!...haha

Alle gekheid op een stok..(all the weird stuff on a stick) I am looking forward to the "end" result.

Will there ever be a such thing as an end result? As regarding to CD's maybe when we can photograph the information an turn them into files - no loss of course and turn the info into something non lossy. A virtual CD player. So the money will be spent on the PC's or whatevers signal path...

Howdy John?

Surely tasteful setup. What are the coolers to the left side for?

Regards

Hey Turbon,

What's with the questionmark behind my name?, dont you believe it's my name?

The coolers are for 4 reflektorD's for all the digital powersupply's, should be enough i guess.:D
Thank the lord for the new groepbuy, i only got two last round.
In the empty space there is room for a medical line netfilter, the neutron star clock and the neutron star powersupply.
I am also looking for thin sheet copper to line the case and all compartments with.
The shiga board will be direkt behind the mechanism so i only need 20 mm of wire to the wbt nextgen 110ag connector, thanks to the smartness of design by Tibi.

Regards,
John.

Hi John,
Your design is so good, if you put it into group buy, I will be the 1st one to order.

Hi comickitkit,

Thank you sir.
the raw materials of the cases is already 450,- euro.
You can imagen they will be very, very expensive when all the machining and finishing is done.
the case's weigh about 30 kilo combined, so shipment would add also a lot of cost.

Regards,
John.

The mechanism stands on 4 fibration dampners, made out of aluminium and liquid rubber.
I have to do some experimenting with the hardness of the rubber to see how and if it works like i want it to.

Regards,
John

Dear John,

As I am working in Hong Kong, it is easy to source the manufacturer to do the final step with reasonable price in China.
