Did anyone get offical specs from Eminence on these?

A Qts of 0.51 as mentioned in this thread seems quite high for a subwoofer driver and basically makes it imposdible to use in a reasonable sized sealed box. The normal Lab 15 has a Qts around 0.35 and a Vas of a little over 100 liters which would make it ideally suited for smaller sealed subs.

Thoughts?

Some things we came up with for this driver

These drivers continue to be made available over and over again on EBAY guys! Snatch them up while you can (hopefully Eminence's Ebay store will post a new listing for them in the next few days if they have not finally run out) , they are an excellent value!..

Here are a few ideas that we came up with for the LAB15-4 over at the ML-Transflex and Karlflex discussion (the first is 150L net, and the other is 100L net):

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I checked on eBay and they're priced at $285 now?

Back when Eminence was selling them they were $125 OBO 🙁

At that price I'm afraid the Alpine Type R would crush it. Alpine has a flat BL curve and a patented motor designed to lower temperatures in the voice coil. It's a slick design.

I built something similar earlier in the thread. well worth the time and money.

Thats a great looking box! and similar in many ways to what we came up with ... The T/S parameters on this driver are well suited for Tapped Hybrid 6th order/TL arrangements with a tapered line or some mass loading , i found that i was able to make the box even smaller and extend bandwidth by using driver offset in the "Karlflex" version ...

OH NO!😱 Did the price go up on these LABs? Thats crummy

So true that the Alpines are an extraordinary deal, i did a lot of simulating with the SWS series, lots of decibels per dollar there, and easy enough to make them play flat and smooth in the right box ...... Hell, even the SWE-10S4 kicked respectable tail in a small 40hz tuned 6th order box and those were selling for as little as $50 per before the supply dried up ...
