I also found some of the pictures taken during the night school wood shop class that I took once a week for nearly 10 years.
Haha it looks like you two guys are rehearsing for a comedy act.
Haha you guys leave crazy people alone, crazy people are fun.

He's got a point most of the notable figures throughout history have been by common sense standards F***ed up in some way!

That guy in the picture looks remarkably like the actor Klaus Kinski.
Nobody played deranged, f****d up characters better than Klaus.
He himself was certainly strange but not a psychopath as far as I could tell.
Then again only one of his three kids bothered to turn up for his funeral...
crazy people are fun.

yeah esp. when they are in charge.
It is Kinski ...as they say the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. Thinking about his lovely daughter. I'm sure she was fun, back in day... today IDK
Watch 'My best fiend' I would guess BPD.
My all time favourite is this one, though ... Classic movie review: 'Psycho' (1960) - Long Beach Classic Movies | Examiner.com
haha 'Psycho' is like the Dark Side of the Moon in regards to portraying madness in Cinema.
From Australia i'd offer up 'Sweetie'
something more obscure is 'Possession' https://youtu.be/sQmap9wQXfo

wood shop class that I took once a week for nearly 10 years........Haha it looks like you two guys are rehearsing for a comedy act.
Steve and I were both long time engineer employees at the Motorola plant. 90% of our interpersonal interactions were with other engineers, which most will admit are not a normal cross section of society. I have always looked for some avenue of interaction that involves more "normal" people. For years it was music, or sailing my 14 foot catamaran around Ft. Lauderdale beach.
About 10 years ago Sherri and I decided to join a local wood shop class taught at a nearby middle school. Looking at pictures of my early amp cases, speaker cabinets, and homemade guitars, will justify the choice. Sherri lost interest somewhere in the second year. The school board pulled the plug on the class after 5 years, but the teacher reorganized it and got it restarted in the abandoned wood shop at a high school about 10 miles away. Sadly it has since been cancelled again.
The class had about 10 "regulars" who had been going for 5 to 15 years, and a random selection of new people who came for a term or two. The regulars built a wide selection of wood objects that appealed to them. Everything from furniture to toys for their grandchildren. I had built several guitar amps HiFi amps, and speaker cabinets, and at the request of the class, "fired up the noise" more than once.
Steve and I were the only people that had ever built musical instruments, so there was considerable interest from most of the class members in seeing how our creations would actually play. We knew that the class was coming to a permanent end, and both of us, and several others, stayed late several nights to get our creations ready for "first sound" on the second to last class night. We both got strings on our instruments, and I tuned, and set the intonation on both with my Android phone, then we played chords to a few old Beatles songs while the teacher took the pictures and video on his phone. Both instruments sounded, and played well.
The last class was reserved for the teachers, and my retirement party. Note: It sounded like a good idea at the time, but cutting the cake with the table saw, wasn't a good idea! I do have pictures somewhere.
Not much comedy involved, unless you find picking up a guitar over your head and tossing it halfway across the class room into the dumpster funny. I made several different guitar body styles before I settled on two that I liked and could be played. Most got a spectacular sendoff when I deemed them a failure. All used a bolt on Fender neck, which was saved and used again.
Note: While weed and other substances may go well with music, weed and a 5 HP table saw do NOT mix!!!!!!
In the 10 years I went to the class, there were a few minor accidents, and one fire. I only saw blood flow once, and that was when an idiot who wouldn't listen tried to hold something small in his hand and place it against the belt on a large belt sander. He sanded right through his fingernail and left blood spatter on the wall in about 2 seconds.....dude, that's what Vice Grips are for!
George, maybe it's the weed but that picture is funny.
I question myself, why do you guys seem to know so much about mental diseases? Huh? Did I stumble upon the psychiatric ward by mistake?
He himself was certainly strange but not a psychopath as far as I could tell.

There are many posts on here which would support that assumption. I think that most people are a bit crackers, some hide it well but others don't even try 😛
They cant ALL be on drugs but they still do things like this -

Bingo.
Living in an insane world, run by psychopaths and sociopaths, does tend to drive sane people nuts. Self-medication is a forgone conclusion for many citizens of this planet and this state of affairs will remain for some time yet. Perhaps indefinitely.
You nailed it right there. This is why prohibition will never work.

Can you expand on this notion as I'm curious as my only experience of Engineers was at the undergraduate level on an electronics course that I ended up dropping out off ( that's another story )
Yeah some of them were quite insular, though I managed to get in with the stoners a factor that may have contributed to my eventual downfall! They were pretty cool, but I never really got to know any of the others that well but they did seem a bit antisocial. I'm curious to learn of your experience with EE's as its an experience I was never able to fulfill.

I've always been interested in what makes people tick, so to speak....Perhaps an extension of my natural curiosity about how all things work. Anyway, on the basis of a 40+ years of observation is that we are definitely all mad when you scrape beneath the surface, some in good ways, some in horrific ways. But those who appear the sanest and most sensible really let rip when their defences break down.

Indeed we are, the important difference is between nevroses and psychoses...
Most of us if not all are in the first while the second is more problematic both for the people and how it is seen by society which is seing about minimal efficienty (work, taxes, commercial interaction, autonomy, security in case of dangerous psychoses !)
In fact we could see how american DSM "boxes" was made by the first 🙂... and how from a false vision of normality tried to clasify all the mental trouble (try to be as interactions are infinite)... That's why I linked a picture of G-W Busch.... when a society beginns to explain what is normality while a pupett is at the symbolic first place.... something (sense) was lost ! When insurance companies and Justice department are more involved than Health department... again something was lost ! I believe european vision of mental health is far better whie not having the palm of efficienty (there are of course exchanges between the doctors and research department and both drugs company want to make a business... this is for them a competition ! )
And don't explain to me it's about politic... it is not ! Or of course in the Platonic sense of the word to live together Inside the city ! (need weed here !)
Problematic is if you suffer of it (mental diseas) or if you are dangerous for others (at least for yourself).... thinking life is Disneyland is pure Madness while making you a perfect cunsumer ! But all of us being older and not teenager anymore know that ! Tradeoffs are making our lives and one has to find some equilibrium !
Btw, please if you feel to be Jesus or Napoleon.... run to see a specialist, you don't know what your are not but over know for you : trust them, you are in the second category !
Depression can touch every body and is a true illness where conscience is altered like the good reasonings and being with no difference in category 1 or 2 need exterior help and deep medication to break the bad circle !
weed make happy the sane personn but can waste more people who are mentaly non of the top of their mental health ! Here in France teenagers smoke like never ! Some will waste their good potential and a better social life because not escape of a daily cunsumption....

Haha, that was a good one Eldam, friends again? I especially liked 'depression can touch every body'.
Oh man you pierce my armor !
Was we enemy ? I believe my bad English was more involved than your sense of reading ! (you mean every body is a good one in relation to the word "everybody" ?)
Like Iron-Man I'm bipolar : always swapping from jazz to metal !
