I use 0.020" max. No problem. Most layouts here have holes that are far too big, resulting in thin weak annular rings.
It likely depends on your toner and etching process. Either way the finished board is noticably better and easier to drill.

Put in your standard 1845/992's .. you know that ! (BCE)
Not a damn error, they would work (if you had them) - as would
just about any BJT - picky 😡. Geez.

Not mad ....
But , I swapped many diamond pairs to see what would happen to the
thermals. I DO NOT want another "Infidel" !
Edit - make sure you match the Q1/2 992/1845's - the diamond is sensitive.

Infidel....ok we had only one bad moment on this long travel.
Who cares🙂

Matched 2sa970/ 2sc2240 for diamond input, have close matched, Marantz had these as input
diamond.
diamond.
No toner - liquid positive (and negative) resist. It likely depends on your toner and etching process. Either way the finished board is noticably better and easier to drill.
Agreed, the "spot" acts as a centre pop

Yes , the 970/2240 pair is the "brother" to the 992/1845 . Amp would
perform nearly identical.

Better than we deserve 😀 .
Actually , 20ppm max - 300V slew.
Now , flashback to 2008 .... the "Mongrel BX".
Already been built , I ran it for a year - sold it.
(below) Sooooo simple.
This one is on the "chopping block" now ! (midweek - or sooner)
Simple !

Hi Juan,
Yes, they give a special deal as long as it is 100mm x 100mm or less. Go to the website and enter the dimensions into the calculator and you will see what I mean. If you go 1mm larger in either direction it will jump to double the price. I just wanted to mention it for those of you who do layout design. A lot of guys like to extend the board under/over the outputs and this might cost them more if they can make the board 10cm x 10cm if they don't.
Blessings, Terry
Yes, it does change the cost even if you chose the "double layer" options the price will remain the same 🙂 about $16.11 USD for QTY of 10 not bad to prototype a quick test 😛

The problem is it is not good , OMHO,to design CFAs the same way that we design VFAs. If we go for CFAs, we have to fight for speed. It means, and this is a religion for me, stay with a minimal number of poles and zeros in the feedback loop. How did it go with the infidel, could someone make it stabil and still with High speed?
In other words, we have to optimize simple CFAs, while we can add complexity to VFAs if we want to reach ultra low distortion numbers.
In other words, you don't design a sport car with the same goals and practices than a limousine.

What PCB shop is quoting this? That looks to be an excellent price if the boards are of good quality.
I checked on PCBway and their price is good but all I could find was DHL shipping and that was twice the cost of the boards. Do you know if there is a way to select a cheaper shipping method?
Thanks, Terry
