As the gain of the amplifier is far too high for use with the present sources, C2 can be simply removed, this gives a little more local feed-back, and has no adverse effect on sound quality.
Changing C3 to a higher value, will only decrease the roll-off frequency, effect is not audible.
In the past 2 years I have revised a stereo 20 myself.
I have put all my tube amplifier experience in this project, to decrease the gain, to eliminate hum and hiss, so make the amp suitable for the needs of "modern" equipment.
I started building tube amps in1965, when I was only 14...
With the modifications made, the stereo 20 is a very nice amplifier, and no hum or hiss can be heard at listening distance with Klipsch speakers at 98dB / 1W /1M efficiency !
