CSX1/2
this is my last version of CSX1 call it CSX1/2
10/10K input transformer
single ended
no reg
replace the 2SJ28 with a 2X 50W resistor ..
no output cap.
never let me alone with a saw 😀

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

for today yes , tomorrow is another day
but watch out don"t do this at home as i have not any knowledge in electronics amp so i don't know if i have done something viable and i have no tools to mesure it ! 😀

Haha very funny ! Thanks for share Juanitox 🙂
If with other half of pbc you build one more mono circuit and bridge them inside the box
this be twice power version or balanced style topology ?
Greetings

Nice work! It looks like you like single ended more! Like me! 😎
CSX Power Supply
Hello. I'm trying to put together a CSX and looking at the power supply wondered if this would work/be better (less parts). I haven't managed to get LT Spice to model it(behave)...yet...
Please have a look and let me know what you think.
Thanks

It's just one diode bridge ( ZM: Graetz 😀) you save?
I was told it is better to have your rails with separate bridges...something to do with unbalanced currents in trafo causing hum.
Also the capacitors C10 - C16 between + and - rail are very uncommon😱 Don't know how that will behave.

Yup got LT Spice to sim it and it's useless.
Any thoughts of Kermet ALS30A103DE063 caps

Sinking Haywire Roll Cage
At first I was going to use permaneder's CSX PCBs but Tea Bag got back to me and I have F6 boards with Jensen TI daughters in the mail. The DIY Store was nice enough to sell me LSK170B/LSJ74B...I have a pair of Hammond 804 transformers to try in the frontend. The Kemet power caps are small with screw terminals so maybe mount them on Aluminum U-channel rails. or make the busses out of 0.025" copper sheet. Heatsinkusa might be able to remove material for T0-3 landing pads on the 10.08 sinks...So many opportunities...So the frontend will live near the back bottom and the rest is looking like haywire right now. Maybe expose the tweak pots and test points on the back. The case is wimpy without the sinks so a 1" square tubing "roll cage" might have to get tucked in.
How much fun can you have with a ready to eat meal! Maybe the DIY Store will come out with a complete kit and save me screwing this up! LOL

LTSpice quote
I attended the Linear Tech LTSpice seminar - or show - here in Oslo yesterday.
Question from one gentleman of the audience:
- How do you create an arbitrary input signal?
Mike Engelhardt's reply:
- Why don't you use a Nina Hagen track?
Yup got LT Spice to sim it and it's useless.

I think I broke mine. I was trying to add components to the data base and it wouldn't let me. Which lead to a rights war with Billy (microsoft)...which of course I lost. Now even with a fresh install: my diode bridge won't peak rectify...or I'm configuring the voltage source wrong.
It's the least of my problems...I order most of my parts today...Double checking the dimensions...I'm running out of space fast...Speaking of which could someone tell me what Tea Bags F6 main PCB dimensions are? I'm hoping to mount it on the back so I can get at the POTs from the outside.
Thanks
