Folks, I'd like an opinion please, in particular from those who have seen / have both the CFA-XH and Synasui IPS boards. The question is this:

When I lay out the silk screen, do people like the component value marked in the device body or is the schematic designator only preferred?

I like it marked in the device body. I find it much faster than constantly referring to the schematic when stuffing.

I also prefer the component value on the board as well as the indicator. Just as you do it. You're the best!!!

Wolverine is in the final stretch and is looking like the attached. Please have a look. Some values were adjusted to be the same as the Symasui for consistency. Also in line with my prior request for opinions about the silk screen I'm open to comments on this one. I tried to put as much on there as possible without getting too busy. Do you like it?

I'd like a couple Wolverine boards and 2 more 2 pair output boards whenever they are ready. Silkscreen looks great to me.

Thanks guys, no problem. I'll update the list a little later on. I did find a few 'errata' on my first serious QC pass of Wolverine. I'll put it away for a few hours and look again later. I'm hoping to have it fully polished and error free so I can get them ordered shortly.

Are Q10 and Q12 attached to the heat sink?

No, they are not expected to be in contact. In OS's original schematic he had Q10 (a TO-126 of the same type as Q11) on the heat sink opposite Q11 but I see no valid technical reason to do so. I elected to make it a TO-92 to make life a little easier.

How many output stages can this OPS handle?

Does anyone know how many output stages the OPS can handle? Can you just
add more devices with the present drivers? Or do you need to redesign the
front end of the OPS? I would like to see 6,8,maybe even 10 stage OPS?😕

From what I can discern once we get to about 7 pair we can run out of driver SOA under averse loading. More pairs might be possible so long as we don't get too crazy with low impedance.

One question though. Why go to such extremes? The board starts getting pretty large and would change its physical format quite a bit to add the extra pairs.
