Thanks Octavia. I attempted to order the breeze 2.1 from Aliexpress and received the following message...
"Please note that due to legal restrictions, AliExpress is unable to provide Escrow service to residents located in Washington. Therefore, you are unable to choose Washington as your shipping address and the order can’t be placed successfully."
for now, I guess I will put the "Breeze" on hold. Hmmmm, maybe I'll have it shipped to my son in Montana.

I just ordered the Yuan Jing 2.0 "blue" board with the thru-hole mounted components.
Yuan Jing Audio - ON SALE! - TPA3116 Class-D 2.0 Stereo Amplifier Board [50W+50W] - $19.99
It's on sale now, and I figured I couldn't lose much getting it.
In the meantime, I've been playing around with the Sure Electronics TPA3110D2 amp boards and I really enjoy them. Here is my latest build in progress. I am waiting for delivery of some Belden 88641 shielded hookup wire to connect the RCA connectors to a Panasonic EVJ 50kohm audio taper volume pot that will be mounted on the front panel. I installed a pair of Elna Silmic II 1,000uF / 25V caps next to the TPA3110D2 chip, and a Panasonic FM 2,200uF / 25V cap on the thru-holes where Vcc and GND from the power supply are connected. The Ferrite beads are Bourns part no. FB43-287-RC from Digikey.

For a perspective on scale, this split Aluminum chassis from Context Engineering is the same length and slightly wider than my iPhone 5.

Plund, if you have it shipped to your son in Montana you better order two because once he hears it you'll never get it out of his hands. 🙂

On Friday I ordered four of the new 'Blue Boards' to use in a active crossover system.
Unfortunately I forgot to order four of the Molex Connectors with shielded cable for the inputs. Does anyone know if these might be available in North America? Or at least the connectors (don't know a part #)?
Thanks,
Rod

I think it's a JST XHP-3 connector housing if the pitch is 2.5mm, PN 455-2219-ND.
You would have to get the crimp connectors for whatever wire you are using. I plan on desoldering that connector and solder my wires into the thru-holes.

Rod - Would one end of these work? I haven't gotten my blue boards either yet, so am not sure exactly what Molex connector they use. I see he offers this kit too.

I am here...
Gentlemen,
I recalled that someone ordered the green board from Audiobah at Ebay, any feedback/comments on that board?
Thanks!

Thanks rhing. At this point soldering to the board is maybe my best bet. But the connector would be handy to change out a board.
Cheers,

The first link with the 3 pin Molex is probably the right one. I saw that second one you linked and not sure just what it all is.
This Yuan Jing Audio - Shielded Audio Cable 3P - $0.40 is what I had planned to order - the price is certainly right. I have sent them a message asking if they would add 4 of those to my order but no word back.
So as mentioned in my post to rhing I will probably now just do what he is planning to do, and that is remove the connector from the board and solder my cable directly.
Thanks a lot for the suggestions.
Cheers,
Rod
Okay, I decided rather than wait for the Belden 88641 shielded hookup wire to come in, I would make my own using some Mundorf Silver-Gold wire I have in my parts stash, Teflon tubing, Teflon tape, some Tinned Copper braided shielding and Techflex. The results are very positive, and I think I like the Mundorf Silver-Gold wire for the greater amount of detail and frequency extension compared to the solid core Copper wire I've been using lately. Once the cables were made, I wired everything up and now the amp is playing now. I'll have to give it some time before drawing conclusions, but I think I now have a recipe for some custom-made shielded wiring.

I have the little Class D amp connected to my ARC PH5 phono stage, ARC LS7 line stage and my upgraded Klipsch Forte II's. It's really amazing how good this amp sounds.

Very cool Rich.... Nice job! I've used that Mundorf wire (as well as Mundorf solder) and really liked the results.
Keep on Modding!

The day after ordering the four amps I sent them an email asking if the cables could somehow be added to my order. Must admit I didn't think they would want to be bothered.
I just got this in an email from YJ:
"Thanks or your purchasing our Class-D Amplifer Board. Don't worry about the 3P cables, as FOC for you this time.
Now, we are processing your order and ship it out today.
Thanks again."
Now that is just incredible service, especially considering how dirt cheap the amps are. I'm just so pleased with my treatment from them that I had to share it here. And I certainly won't hesitate buying from YJ again!
Cheers,
Rod

I was pleasantly surprised in getting a similar message from Yuan Jing. That's great!
Same here, did not expect that question. It's funny to see that more people have the same feature: ordering the main thing but forgetting the cable...

Very nice box you made - this is the Sure 3110 that you added big caps and ferrite beads to right? I used a cheap plastic snap lid lunch container box from the dollar store. 😀. On my 3116 I use Alpha wire rg174 shielded coax as signal lines from RCA to the inputs. Works great and is very thin (1/8 in dia). I happened to have a spool of it from another project.
Thanks. Yes, the amp module is the Sure Electronics TPA3110D2. The Alpha RG174 shielded coax is a good idea for shielded hookup wire. Is that a plenum-grade coax? I had previously used the Belden 88641 when I restored and modified a Dynaco SCA-35 6BQ5/EL84 integrated amp. It worked well in that application, and I had ordered some more.
Impatience and curiosity got the better part of me though. I had purchased the Tinned Copper braided shielding and Teflon tubing over a year ago from a local surplus electronics store with the intention of making shielded Mundorf hookup cables. I was just too lazy to actually do it until now. Necessity is the mother of all invention, right?
On another note, Yuan Jing has already shipped my "blue" 2.0 amp and provided tracking information. I think I like this factory-direct service over the eBay route. It might minimize the risk of getting grey-market goods from China.

Me too, I highly appreciate this kind of direct approach to customer, also in cheap items.
I'm very curious to listen to this new entry in TPA3116 range 🙂
