I have raised a minor point to both Subbu and Phil via PM. Fyi - How will Subbu post the PSU PCB to the end customer - would that be direct or via Phil for those who are getting it assembled by him. I think it may be better to ship both the PCBs to Phil as otherwise some extra charges on posting 2 PCBS to 2 different locations will be incurred by Subbu.
Subbu/Phil - please discuss and finalise this point also.

Hi Phil,

I am in the list of the parts group-buy, and I am confirming my order.

I just wanted to say that it would be fair to leave the time to people to receive the Bill Of Materials before closing the parts GB, just to know more exactly what's needed, and for everyone decide how to source things.
This is both for those who are already in the parts-GB, and those who are not.

I have enrolled, and as I said I decide to confirm that. But I was expecting that in the meantime the BOM would have been received, for the final decision...

Would that be a big problem?
Would it introduce a big delay?

Yes, exactly. There are two GBs, one for the PCB:s and the ES9023 chip, which you have paid for, and another for the other components to build the project. The latest list on korben69's post was for the latter one.

There are now links for the second GB on the first post of this thread. But the BOM for the project is not yet available, so there's no information how much the latter would cost. Hopefully we'll know soon.

@vinodt1347 : You're right.
I've asked Subbu to ship me both PCB (DAC/PSU) and ES9023 DAC for Assembly Service subscribers.
The process will be more relaxed acting this way.

@ pilli : Post#238 (08/29) I was wondering to close Parts GB on 09/15.
Post#247 (08/30) Subbu expected to send PCB within 15 days, 09/15.
So, let say Parts GB will be closed on 09/22.

Let me express once more that
I realize that this work you're doing is complex, and that hundreds of us will have hundreds of ideas and opinions on how to proceed.
I enormously appreciate all this effort.
If sometimes it cannot go the way one prefers, we will understand and still appreciate.

Hi Phil,
I ordered 2 PCBs and 2 DAC Chips

I have completed the Parts Group Buy form for 2 Part Kits and Assembly services for just 1 PCB (I want to assembly the other one myself).

It is possible to receive both thru you, even if only one will be assembled, and send me the assembled one, unassembled PCB and Part kits in one shipment?

2° - Remaining ordered Parts Kits / PCB / ES9023 chips

I'll send him, each saturday (09/07 and 09/14), subscribers list before 09/15 to avoid any shipping mistake.

2° - Remaining ordered Parts Kits / PCB / ES9023 chips

I'll send him, each saturday (09/07 & 09/14), actualized subscribers list before 09/15 to avoid any shipping mistake.
Assembly & Testing processes will begun > 10/15 (estimated)

B) For people who subscribed Parts GB Kit only :
1° - Parts GB will be closed on 09/22
2° - Paypal will begin 09/23 - Reminder : I won't place any orders before collecting all the funds.
3° - Shipping after sorting, labelling, checking & packing, will begin around 10/05.
Checking, sorting, labelling and packing are time consuming processes 😉

For A and B operations a dedicated link to a spreadsheet will be mentionned.

I'm still waiting for the complete Official BOM.
Some parts have changed and some others are replaced.

According to last informations, DAC parts kit will cost less than 29€, PSU less than 15€.
Those prices are VAT included and for information only, to be confirmed.
