Not correct.

Pin 1 of XLR goes to chassis ground.

I'm interested in buying this DAC. Reading back through the thread it seems that there have been some issues. I know this is DIY, and have built other DACs into chassis, wired passive preamps and also built hypex ncores. However I don't have an oscilloscope and electronic engineering is not my thing. I would need to be assured that there is a chance this would be a straightforward build i.e. I don't want to have to mess about with the PCB itself in order to get it to work. Could anyone give me that assurance?

Also is this going to be compatible with my WaveIO? Or is it built specifically for Amanero and nothing else.

Are you using the DAC module inside a metal chassie ?

Have you got the DAC shield by Qhanghao ?

Are you using the filter on main power ?

Have you tested the spdif output with other DAC ?

Also I would like to know if other person have problem with spdif.

I have similar problem with AES/EBU input. I have the dac build by Qhuangho with the shield. Same source(Brayston DBP-2) works fine with Bryston BDA-2.
44K Redbook is fine.
When I try to play hires, the lock blinks once and the sample rate is showing 0.
