I was looking for a schematic or service manual of P-300L (problem solved).
Data of the mains transformer alone would be nice also,
because it is burnt.
This is not for the first time a defective transformer is
encountered on Accuphase amps or japanese gear in
general.
The german importer will not provide schematics any
more "because of sole property of Accuphase". This
has been different in the past though.
Thank you for response.
Edit: I can help with diagrams for C240 , C280 , E202 , E204 ,
E303 , E305 , P11 , P266 , P500 as paper copies, maybe
PDF later.
Edit for search engine: C-240 , C-280 , E-202 , E-204 ,

I have the schematics for the P300, send me your e-mail address if you want them (two bit-map about 2.3MB).
Transformer has dual 120-100-0 primary. 54.5-47-0-47-54.5 secondary with 20-0-20 also.
I would check the voltage selector, the 10A (slo-blo) Primary fuse, and the four 2A
Secondary fuses. There may be an internal thermal fuse in the transformer (although none is shown).

Accuphase P300L transformer failure
A short in one of the electrolytic capacitors C28 or C29 on the
main amp boards leads to destruction of the bridge rectifier D28
and subsequent failure of the mains transformer. R76, R77 went
open on this board subsequently.
I strongly recommend to insert fuses in the two yellow transformer
leads to prevent this. 0.2 amps slow blow should be fine. The trans-
former wiring can be accessed from the bottom of the amp.
This transformer has an internal thermal fuse, but in my workshop
the defective item had an internal short, both thermal fuse and main
fuse were OK.

On the P300L the primary windings are as indicated by djk.
The secondaries are
yellow stacked 55V
red main48V
black ground
red main48V
yellow stacked55V
and
green grey green 15.5 , ground, 15.5V for meters etc.

Please read and use 0.4 amps.

See post 1.
Paper copies only..
Hi as-audio just to check what information do you have on the p266 is it a service manual or is it just a schematic, do you have the bias and meter adjustment information?
Thanks
Chris

Schematic only. Don't worry about the bias, but wiring of the output needs a correction.
I'm restoring a pair of 266's and would like to know how to adjust the bias properly, when you say the output wiring needs correction do you mean on the schematic? Also could you send me a copy? How much would a copy cost me.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Did you find what you looking for?
I have a pair of 266 to ,I recap the amplification bords and the 4 large caps for one unit .
In the same process with the second unit!

Will provide additional information if you manage to upload a scan.
What do you mean if I manage to upload a scan?
Thanks
but wiring of the output needs a correction.
Hi A.s, just wondering if the e-202 needs this correction also as when its set to separate with the switch on the back with no input the amp hums loudly.
Thanks.

The E-202 amp is totally different and has its own problems.

Could you elaborate on this? I have one on the bench now, and have a hum problem with it.
I also have the accuphase e-307 service manual if you would like it.
