Accuphase C-280, E-303X, P-266, P-300L, P-500 and others diagrams, repair etc

The 202 is the first integrated sold by A. about 40 years ago.
Schematic and manual can be found on Hifiengine. The dia-
gram is a mess and I am afraid you have to find out for yourself.

Irritating that hum is present with power amp input switch open.
This should not occur as long as you have no loose input lines
connected. May be an indication of ground problem. Hum also
present with this switch set to "normal": have a look at -87 volts,
C005 330uF 100volts.

The 1975 unit of my mother shows various signs of deterioration.
Most noticable is that the copper on the circuit board evaporates
when you try to solder. After short time no copper is on the solder
eye any more. On the other hand the solder is dry and unusable
at many points after decades. No chance.

Hum should not be there even with no source connected?

I sent you a pm about the P-266 schematic.

when its set to separate with the switch on the back with no input the amp hums loudly.

Thanks.
I referred to this. Exact error description please.

Hum will be present if you connect open input lines.
Without any input there should be no hum, integrated
and separate. If hum is present only with power amp
alone ("separate") as indicated in this post, I can only
think of an unusual ground problem.

At this point I don't know you are a knowledegable repair-
man. If not I can not recommend to gain first practice with
Accuphase items, sorry.

I found it to be equally expensive to do a good scan at the copy shop
instead of shipping a paper copy for the second time, so here it is for
the Accuphase P-266 and no excuse for loosing the paper.

It includes my remarks in german, sorry, translation on request. Moderator
may want to add P-266 to the thread headline, thanks.

We can discuss some of the details later.

Sorry I don't have that one, what is defective with your C-222?

-----

In the meantime I will not recommend HIFIENGINE any more.

Being a valuable site I do not understand their policy.
They cancel hints to other websites with useful information or better scans for a particular unit.

I have been completely banned after trying to help somebody in their "requests forum",
hinting at a readable diagram in Elektrotanya.

This happened after I contributed tons of material: service manuals, diagrams
and repair tips over the years.

Now they call me "Anonymous" or "(not verified)".

"Thanks again to as-audio for the scans": it will not happen again.

There is no particular responsible webmaster, he is really anonymus.
The site is owned by some company.

All in all a strange form of british behaviour and not adequate.
