I have just finished the Mouser BOM for myself, basing on the latest PCB's revision. Let me know if you need itI have just received the last version PCB and I have some difficult to find all parts, because there are some differences from schematic to PCB and BOM. So I have some questions for Quanghao and all guys that built the DAC:

Hi,
I also prepared a BOM with parts from Mouser/Parts Connexion and eBay and I'll post it for other diyers.
Could you post your BOM, so we can compare with mine to produce the final BOM?
Andrea
Yeah, sure. Mine is attached.
There are some missing parts because I've already have them in the parts bin so I just left them out from the BOM.
Also, I overspec'd some caps, increased the quantity of some easy-to-fail (2sk170, bc550, bc560, mje350, irf9510...) parts to have some backups in case something goes wrong during the build.

A few questions:
- did you mount SPDIF transformer?
- about IV HV: are you using centre tapped 260-0-260 and 2 rectifiers only or single 0-260 and 4 rectifiers?

You can skip the spdif transformer if you only use coaxial input.
I use 0-260v transformer and 4 recitifiers. Look for the Aavid 2.5" to-220 heatsinks for best heat dissipating.

Right, I choose a 3.4°C/W thermal resistance, but the Aavid heatsink is 2.6°C/W.Look for the Aavid 2.5" to-220 heatsinks for best heat dissipating.
Hi all,
I'll use 5687 and E182CC tube, so I have the following questions:
- filament: linking J1 seems the heaters are powered wih 12.6V, so what secondaries of R80-36 transformer should I use? more simple, what colours?
- anode: using 4 rectifiers and R80-36 transformer, what secondaries should I use 0-230 or 0-260? in parallel? more simple, what colours?
Thanks
Andrea

hi!
if use 5687 or e182cc use 12Vac for filament
use 0-220Vac for shunt!

Hi Quanghao,
0-220Vac does not exist, HV secondaries of R80-36 are 260-230-0-230-260, do you mean 0-230 in parallel full wave rectified (230Vac * 1.414 = about 325 Vcc)?

use 230-0-230, and use 2 diode in put!
thanks

Thanks for reply,
but I have a doubt, why a center-tapped two-diode rectifiers instead of paralleling 0-230 secondaries and using a full wave with 4 diodes rectifiers?
What's the advantage?
Also on the PCB there are places for 4 diodes rectifiers.
Andrea

yes
Hi Quanghao, Wanted to make sure you received payment for Dac pcb. did you already send the PCB? thanks, John
Hi andrea_mori !
Did you finis your DAC??
what i can hepl you more??
thanks
Hi,
not yet, I'm busy on other project.
Question: I would like to use xlr balanced input, since my transport provides this output, did you test xlr input? does it work correctly?
Andrea
Problem with the power stage circuit
Hi Quanghao, I have a problem with the power stage circuit in the 260V SSHV specifically, since there is only the 61V output.
I have attached some pictures where you can see the component values that have been used and the voltages obtained.
Thanks.
