You mean looking at old pictures.
I have some ideas for a phase inverter-based amp that arose out of the "Half Nelson" and "L'Fake" projects. I 'll talk about them in a separate thread after BA some time. The interstage is another nice idea, and harks back to the early days of transistor design, when power transistors were only in one flavor per material. My very first amp, the Electro-Voice 1144, looked a bit like this, though the interstage XFMRs were probably not up to the quality level here. I wonder if I still have those interstages buried somewhere in my junk pile - you can never tell.
wrenchone: please clarify the "Half Nelson". Thank you.I have some ideas for a phase inverter-based amp that arose out of the "Half Nelson" and "L'Fake" projects. One always assumes that an F6 will be better than an F5 which in turn will be better ............... than an F1.
How are the various incarnations of the DIY F6 turning out sonically when compared to Nelsons previous brilliant designs.

The very thought makes me want to stop thinking. Tea, you got a big umbrella and snow plow?
Neither. Probably won't be as bad for us as originally thought. Will hit closer to you.😱
I was very disappointed by the F5. I just love the Aleph 4.
The Aleph 4 is much more complicated and more expensive to build though. Each has its own fans.
