Studio Reference Amplifier

Dear Apex,

I have 4 pcs. of 28VAC toroidal Trafo 300VA each, can i use those 4 in series to have 55VAC w/ CT to supply stereo of SR200 or B500??
I started builing B500 for sub with most of the component installed and will be followed by SR200 for mid, high. Please advise if those trafo's are usefull for these amps.

I will share some pics as soon as i have all components on.

Thanks

Yes, you can use 4 identical transformers in series to have 2x55vac for SR200 or B500.

SR200 V3.1 on progress.

Thanks Miles, I got BC560 replaced by BC556 .

44250, thanks for a compliment 🙂.

Help me decide which heatsink to use.

The big one is a bit overkill I think and the small one is not enough maybe😕

....i have one styroflex type of capacitor indicated as 10000 250 v +_10/ how can i know this value is micro farad or kpf ?

Looks like it is 10000pF. That's 0.01uF .Styroflex usually are lower value caps.
A picture with something else to judge it's size might help.
I'm used to seeing only low value styroflex......below 0.01uF. Used up to 4700pF and so this could be 10,000pF. This is blind guess work !

Use a capacitance meter and you'll get the correct value.
