I don't want to copy Mikes amp. I want source follower. The amp works fine. I just need to know how to properly earth it. The supplies are part of the circuit if i connect it to chassis earth current will trip the mains box. Or will it?
that's easy
shall we go step by step ?
just draw one source follower without load , properly biased (we're going to stack two of them later )
in fact - what you need to draw is CCS , with gate equipped to receive the signal
so - input signal firmly referenced to gnd
then neg leg of each PSU just loosely referenced to gnd

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Bloody hell. Maybe I should just copy it exactly. It is basically exactly what I am trying to do.
I wish I had of seen it earlier

there is old sayin' (roughly translated ) - "Speak Serbian , so entire world can understand ya "

do not forget - those caps in front of biasing networks have some role ...........

What I need to understand more than anything is how to wire it up.
So according to the circuit:
Gnd is connected to Gnd pin of XLR?
What about the earth symbol? Does that go to chassis earth or is it floating?

those are earth/gnd
just matter of drawing proggie
ya see that input gnd and that what you're calling "earth" are the same
so - just to bring ya few things closer ........ and probably to confuse you even more :
gnd is referenced to input signal gnd ; those two floating power supplies are referenced to system gnd via those two 50R resistors
so - what's important - that mosfet's gates know where gnd is ......
you can bring either balanced or symmetrical input signal , it will work
say that ballanced signal you have if you feed signal from line level xformer secondary , without grounded center tap ...... so signal is floating
symmetrical (balanced) signal is when you ground center tap on secondary ......... so signal is not floating
