SYMEF amplifier

The metalwork part is almost done, pretty much only the electronics part left.

Need to build a dc protect circuit, a softstart timer circuit for the transformer and wiring up the amps.

So its maybe another month worth of work left before its a usable amp.

This is how the chassi turned out, minus cleaning up pen parks and such:

Hi again.. Not really a problem but I would be very glad if this is possible... To use my 2*42va trannie for the SYMEF... Please when you have the time explain what need to be changed 🙂

Best Regards.....

I take a chance to "bump" this one..
All parts are in order. Need to know which parts that need to be changed to make å more "high power" SYMEF 🙂
How many of you have heard the SYMEF and would like to say something about the sound of it?

Sincerely

The output transistors are NOT mosfets!! They are bipolars.

If you put mosfets in there, the amp will not work.

Also you can omit the coil, it will not do any harm, and a good amp should not need it either.

That coil originates from the era where piezo tweeters were extremely common and used in almost all cheaper speakers on the market, and as you know, a pieze tweeter is effectively a capacitor.
