TC Sounds? Here's an 8" version:

Nope, it's an ancient Chinese secret. I've not had any TC Sounds OEM product in many many moons. I dunno if they are even a build house anymore.
Somebody must be building them...there's a whole page of them on PE.
That magnet/frame/surround have similar features to your 15".
They look interesting; check out the 10", the $$ is reasonable.

My tiny 6.5 woofers were sounding great last night, they surprise me every time I hear them. (some rain yesterday).
I might have to up the ante and install 3 double boxes (12 drivers).
I may never go to work again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hey my speaker's big brother...Very cool.
Is the amp across the room? You may be losing some bass if so.
Best to keep the amp close to woofer - and still use 12gauge (min).

what's the point in placing the woofers like that ? it looks amazing though ! 🙂I hope this works
I get
looking at it;optical illusion, but it is square.
The woofers are suppose to cancel out something...Oliver will tell us.
Curious if a straight box has an advantage over a pin-ball machine design????
Btw, It was not hard to build. On a 1 -10 scale, I'd give it a 4. About $60 into this.
They sound nice, go deeper than expected, not hard hitting, more of a "soft" bass; very easy to listen too........

Hi ODougbo,

Just two quick references:

I really like what I see in Post #288. 🙂 Very well done.

Yes - more good ideas. I've looked at both those areas a couple of times.
Will do.

with my current setup at the moment my book shelf speaker (q acoustics 2020i) will bottom out before my subs do, meaning i cant turn it up as much, is there anyway of cutting the low frequencies of to my bookshelf speakers without doing the same to my subs ?Yes - more good ideas. Sounds like you need a active crossover.
You'll have to go intot more detail on your equipment on hand (or willing to buy).
Never bottom out speakers :-\

Hi,
Why not just plug the ports on your box-shelf's. Start testing with a filling that do not produce a wheezing sound..This would move the f-3dB up to a better integrating point and protect the driver from over-excursion.
BTW. I thought you have built a T-TQWT...Do you have any simulation script of your TL?
b🙂
BTW....I watched the 1/2 hour of original Ghost Rider last night. The voulume was louder than I though and it about threw me out of the chair when it got going....the system roars like a lion.
The mini 6.5" don't sound mini (using 8)

my stereo amplifier is a denon pma710ae, with the q acoustics 2020 bookshelf speakers, and ixos champagne speaker cable, the subwoofer amplifier is a pa amp i bought for £110 which is 250 watts rms two channels, 500 total.Sounds like you need a active crossover.

i never bottom them out but the subs will reach half excursion when the bookshelfs are as loud as i'll push them
Mini house wrecker?
Would be interesting to use all four 6.5" drivers in a smaller version of this enclosure:
HWK15
Anybody ever try something like this? Read about it in another thread from 60ndown:

Looks cool but more complex to build, unfortunately.
