I remember the size of the bloody bouncers!
Sorry folks, Salas and I heading down memory lane is diverting the thread a bit.
Good work Salas. Keep it up fella 🙂
I remember the white older head bouncer guy and the two massive blacks. The leader would just say ''another night gentlemen'' if he was not to get us in. If we asked why, he would have replied ''drugs''. Then we were off to Archies. No further argument. 😀
Cheers.
Thanks for the info Salas, will pull the trigger on that tx and pull the cutter out
You are welcome.
Oh, and thanks for this info. I was hoping to use a spare 30VA 18-0-18 traffo just to get me going. This helps a lot.
Cheers
Keep those CCS set resistors 10R 5W in your case.
Any recommendations for the CCS resistors if i want to add my Lightspeed/OVC pcb to the DCB1?
Could i stay with the 2x47R (1x22R) or should i lower the value a bit?

You want to make a low CCS running DCB1 plus tap off for powering an optivol if I understood correctly? What is the consumption of optivol?

That´s really funny... After 10 month of Lightspeed/Optical Volume Control pcb GB, i had finished my first own pcb in July.
Since than i don´t power it up. So i must measure the max. current it needs...😱
Perhaps you could tell me the current of the DCB1, so i could calculate the resistor value myself.
If i am not wrong both currents + 20% for the shunts, right?
Yes, I have added a link about that flick too.
3.978k in total. Add one in series to the 3k3 that will get it about there, or make some other new combination from paralleled ones, whatever.
Oh yeah, so you did!
Salas, you are a shunt reg God! Thanks a million for all your help!
Depending on LEDs Vf and Vgs of Mosfet it can be 70 to 90mA for 47 parallel 47.
I have measured the max. current of my OPC board... 61,5mA
Yes,8.80-8.79-8.76-8.77
and the output offset should be a tiny -ve value to confirm that you have them in the correct positions for both channels.
If the higher Idss is in the CCS position the output offset will be a tiny +ve value. If the output offset is a big +ve value, your B1 is in trouble.

If i calculate correct, i should use a 12R!? 🙄
Hi dvb-projekt
As you're involved in Blue DCB1 project, would you please publish a wiring scheme in the "Optical Volume Control Professional PCB" thead ?
It would be greatly appreaciated 😉
Thanks

There is substantial draw as you found. Either balance with 12R on the +side you want to tap off for it, or relegate an own reg for it.

You mean how you connect the OVC-PCB with the DCB1?
Input Signal- OVC in - OVC Output - DCB1 Input - DCB1 Output - Output Signal

Sure your right. For best performance i will take one separate reg for it.

it.
Thank you for the answer 😉
I'll have to figure how I can manage it.
Not complicated at all, but I've got my mind blocked on this... 🙄
Okay, where is everybody getting their 12V NAiS relays from? Looked at Mouser and they are sold out 🙁
Anand.

Bit far from the US but banzai have these:
