Are you kidding us? The board shown is QSC PL380 and the schematic has not much to do with it either.

I can't place the schematic to my blog,it's no manner, but the basic theory is same,I will place my feature board to my blog,so sorry, please wait some time.

NOT COPYING !LEARNING AND IMPROVING
I have place my new board to my blog, now i installing one,the lastest schematic, based on PL380,i changed originally circuit,to make the structure more simple, the second step i'll improve it to 10KW power out,now i only make it 8kw POWER out, let's try hard.

In my opinion, the best way to improve this amplifier is to start from scratch with a different design philosophy 😉

That SMPS is ZVC, self resonant, learn from it
They have used an aluminium encapsulted heatsink mounted 4.7E 200W resistor in Zobel just for that purpose............
😀
Hello all ...
one stupid short question:
Why did they use a 200w rezistor in the zobel?

Savu Silviu

Because Patrick Quilter is unable to make his amplifier stable at open loads😀
His fears are genuine, what will happen if HF oscillation occurs.
So he puts a 200W 10R Vishay TO-247 Resistor in the Zobel to sustain the dissipation😛.
When you lack experience and design criteria in a particular technology field, and yet you want to release a product very badly, you have to adopt popular ideas, there is no time for innovation. Some will be good, some won't.
From the technical point of view, a RC zobel has never been strictly required in post-filter feedback class D amplifiers, yet everybody seem to be using one. The limitations are being inherited too, there is no will to overcome them... 😉
Theoretically, the zobel improves phase margin and allows for slightly higher open loop gain, and thus, lower THD. In practice, it does not provide any substantial advantage without burning a lot of watts, exactly the opposite of the main goal of class D.
The zobel also helps to damp output filter when the amplifier clips and the control loop is not active, but there are other ways to do that wasting far less power.

Hi,everyone!
Look this thread ,nice meeting friends here again.
we have developded some stable little amp like QSC PL380 now,They can deliver out2kw / 4kW rms power out.
Share pl380 pictures here.
Some friends want to know SMPS theory,I suggest you can look for some magzine about series resonance,

China men, have mercy on Patrick Quilter of QSC, he might get heart attack after looking at these gloriful pictures which are exact copies of his PL380 amplifier.
😀😀😀😀😀
SCR series reasonance magzine
I found one book introduce it detailed,Switching Power Supply Design(second edition),author:Abraham I.Pressman.I have one Chinese version,p150,Theory of series loader SCR half bridge convertor.

Oh!My God!not copying,I paste some pl380 pictures just ago,not our products,We have experience in class D about 10years.only learn some.

Oh my goodness, From did you get new empty pcbs without components 😀😀
Producing 100% same layout of QSC PL380 is worthwhile display of your 10years old experience. Keep learning it up 😉

Your post is not clear. Are these PL380 photos, or photos of your amp?
SMPS and AMP all in one
We think output stage and smps have personality and we believe it should excellent choose.
I am deeply admire QSC engineer, only them design the integratedwhole amp.
Usually Engineers divide the amp two parts😛ower supply and amplifier,so the two parts can not accord works .Even some factory use one power supply PCB and one amplifier PCB in one amp.In some way I think it faulty design.
Because we think amp like one energy convertor, small signal input, biger power output, should all in one and cooperative work.

We shared some PL380 picture, not our products pictures.we have error for uploading one tested PCB picture.
Thanks

Taught so too 😉
Thanks for confirming me this.
It's hell when you are forced by the company to put on the market a product that is not stable. Management can kill good products because of their greed. I have the same problem at my workplace. Bad products are corrected with nice presentations and nice casings, preety collors and so on to steal the eye of the buyer.
