BTW, regarding clocked output circuit in post#12, the MCK-EX connects to a pad were original resonator was installed. It would be the pad that connects to pin 61 of LC78601 (XIN according to datasheet here: LC78601E datasheet pdf datenblatt - Sanyo Semicon Device - Compact Disc Player DSP with Built-in Microcontroller ::: ALLDATASHEET ::: )
As usual Peter very nice work. The only snag for me here is the SC944. If my memory serves (and it may not) doesn't Scientific Conversion want a minimum order of 10 or something like that?
It doesn't need to be SC, you can use any other transformer. For instance: Digi-Key - 470-1003-ND (Manufacturer - S22083)
Now comes the PS part.
48VA Hammond transformer (166L24) fits perfectly in a Hammond 1590T enclosure. The diodes are mounted directly to connector socket and the whole thing came out quite elegant and simple.
Is it safe to leave those msr860 floating around in there? The backs of them are connected to the output pin. Did you insulate them?
