External PSU finished

After a long weekend , i have finished the external PSU!

Here are some internal view pictures.

On the upper side the two +/- Power Supply Modules,
in the lower left corner the 10H choke on amorphous cores from AE-Europe,
in the middle the 1st cap (3,9ĩF Mundorf supreme silver in oil) of the HV-PSU line,
in the lower right corner the Power Switch Module with onboard solid state relays.

Now itīs time to give the HV-PSU and the 2nd SSHV-Shunt module some time to burn in.

    Looks beautiful! and there is something about a valve based PSU for a DAC that is deliciously ironic

    I actually listened to the XRCD2 version of Patricia Barberīs "Companion" CD, Track 7 - "Black Magic Woman".

    Thatīs why i love a tube rectified HV-PSU with Mundorfīs TubeCapīs.

    The sound is so real... no way back to the SS rectifier and the electrolytic PSU caps!

    Normal isolating tape, for security reasons
