Hi Eva!

i can't talk about the sources of THD in conventional UcD topology on the whole, but my humble experience told that main source is switching precision. Here you can see two thd figures for different dt (set by driver):

ps: loop gain ~35db

Bender,

Im in the Philippines... much URBAN than other, and yeah, the real hard && impossible to get are the Dual MOSFETS, the mosfet driver and the "AD" input....

The mosfets could probably be subd with single N-Ch mosfets...

anyways, nice that you had that thing going... :smash:

how about adding a protection circuitry to it?? or how about converting the driver chip to a discrete one? ;)

Cheers!

hi Luka, thanks for reply.

i put ad825 at input, because i have ones for free :)
you can replace it by tl071, ne5531 or other soic8 single opamp without any perfomance derating ;)
Most of them are pin-to-pin compatible.
It's easy to trace pcb for usual to-220 case fet, if you want, i can do it.

RX5, full discrete UcD projects: http://www.classd.fromru.com
ps: what kind of protection do you mean, OVP, UVP, OCP, OTP? my project is only simple sample of DIY amp not for commercial use.
