As I said before the first 2 were a shambles. My fingers are crossed.

Never mind on my idea, that looks AWESOME, put the wife to work on this base. Where did you get that record clamp? I want one.

Thanks for the link. Always learning. That's a Walmart record clamp. One of these day's I'll learn to type with 3 fingers and write a review.

Came out fine, not perfect, but I'll use it. I've sanded with 150 grit. Tung oil treatment when it gets a bit warmer.

Is that a Co-motion Tandem in background of your earlier picture?

It is, something they call a Supremo, our 3rd tandem. Bought in 2007. Many a double centuries on that bike. In our aging years we prefer to keep it under 100 miles.

Wood looks great. I used to have Co-motion with couplers, great bike. I miss our tandem, but my wife now prefers her own bike. So we still ride together.

We also ride together, tandem or half bikes. No lately with all the rain we've been getting.

320 grit, not buffed. Working my way towards filling pores or 600 grit. Whichever comes first, then, some paste wax.

3 coats and 600 grit. Still trying to decide if I'm going apply a paste wax. There's just one problem. I made it symmetrical and the top plate is a rectangle. Either I make a 4th base or order a new top plate.

thanks zman01. There's mistakes in this also but I can fix it with a new top plate. It's already ordered.

What is the distance between the PCB and your top plate. Did you mount the heat-sinks on top? Did you use the standard heat-sinks? Do they touch the top plate?

I like the look of your top plate. Would you share the design-file?

Distance between pcb and top plate is 1/2". Standard heat sinks, mounted on the bottom of the board along with the cap's. The big resistors should go on the underside also.

Haven't got a clue how to share the file. help would be appreciated. You might get ahold of front panel express and ask them about the design. Tell the I sent you.
