Now the battle with the crossover begins.
Quite the wall of sound you have there!
The weather is supposed to be hot again this coming week. Maybe that will give you a chance to work inside on your crossover.
Pre Contest Setup
A few of my low quality photos from the event. Friday night setup, Terry fixing the vacuum cleaner, Jerry ( in safety vest! ) hanging the scrim that divides the judges from the speakers, Gary measuring a speaker on Saturday.

Contest Photos
Really fun event. Just talking with the other speaker builders all day is the best part. Photos of speakers in the staging area, Dave's Milkcrate open baffles, beautiful small black two way (kit?), my speakers in the general listening room, Rene's black stealth towers, Jay's speakers in judging area (the really dark photo) with curtain drawn back after contest. Howards winning speakers (three way light wood box with ribbon tweet).

Sorry I missed it, was painting my house that day
Looks like some very interesting projects and creators too.
Don't worry, we'll be having another one 2 years from now! You should be finished painting your house by then...unless you're as slow as I am!
Best Regards,
Terry
How my 4-way scored. Some good, some bad.
Attached are the score sheets my 4-way speaker received. With the 12" woofer in a sealed box bass rolls off at 40 Hz or so ( I plan to use a Linkwitz transform in the future). I had it up a few inches off the floor, on a dolly to make it quick to move during the contest, so that didn't help. The limited time and $$$ I spent on the passive crossover left me with first order design that emphasized the upper mid, so those characteristics are evident in the scores. On to the active crossover in the next few weeks. Thanks to the judges for all their hard work!
