Fisher Fury, IRS so unequal wishbones all round with coilovers- inboard in front; 4pots, Quaife Diff, all good stuff. Does about 11mph/1000rpm in 6th, gets there very quickly and is an utter hoot - despite the weigh disparity the short gearing and monstrous / predictable grip means one can get stuck behind sports bikes on winding B roads
That's a point of view. From here it's fast and modern!Rover 214SI is old and slow
Ps good luck finding an Elise under 800kg Simon. Which is why iwent the utter-nutter route.
I was told 600kg, I'm not looking to buy one
Prefer engines with some torque anyway!
edit: good old Wikipedia says 725-750 so maybe we're both wrong hehe

It'd be a bit more than that if I was sat in it!!! The beer and pies appears to have taken more of a hold on me than I would like........I was told 600kg
No way mine is going into land fill! I'll donate it to the nursing home, with the proviso that someone keep following this thread when I can't.
The Lexan is on its way from (bloody expensive) Plastic Store UK. So in a fairly short time the cosmetic make-over will be ready to spring on an unsuspecting world.

I got up a while ago and stepped bare foot into a pile of dog poo on the carpet, so I'm not in a good mood and my comment might not be described as helpfull but...I have a bunch of power regs and several added transformers and the bass has not improved much. The dynamics have, to a reasonable extent. While this is not exactly the same as an external power supply; it would be the internal version, minus a bank of caps. I think you there are limits which have to be accepted. The benefits you are beginning to hear will compensate.
